Zopa clearly stated statements were taking 1 or 2 months to be accurate. The September statement may not be accurate until end October or possibly end November. Having said that the message has now disappeared. As for the tax statement - that's a little more serious!

Two weird things I have experienced with Zopa reports this week: 1. Tax statement for last tax year ending April has changed between when I looked in Aug and Oct. Means HMRC could get different values to the ones you declare on your tax return. 2. Monthly reports for Aug and Sept on Zopa Plus showed a loss. Two weeks later they are both in profit. Only minor niggles really but I'm checking my reports more frequently now. I'm not sure the Tax thing is a minor niggle - from the report I just printed and not the one I used for the taxman it is different. According to the latest report I have in fact declared too much to the taxman and as a result have paid more tax than I needed to. I'm sure the taxman is not going to quibble over it after all I paid more than I needed to but lets say for instance that Zopa is providing HMRC with our returns in Zopa - I don't know that they are yet - then if my lending was 6 figures say then this might be a bit too much of a discrepancy for HMRC not to start investigating. Who is responsible for this me or Zopa. To be fair as long as I know this is different I can obviously check this and adjust at the next declaration. Surely though Zopa should be advising us of this change. I personally was not expecting this to change this late in the day and makes me wonder if I had not known and left it too late and the 2016/17 was replaced with the 2017/18 report I would not know that I have paid more tax than I should have anyway. This situation is not acceptable to me anyway. I'm off to query direct with Zopa. On the monthly statements, August was near as damn it correct as soon as October started, corroborating their 1-2 months message. September now seems correct but as above only in the last 2/3 days. October I am still yet to check.

My Zopa Statements page appears to have caught up with events now - It's certainly more accurate than it has been reporting of late.

My Zopa Statements page appears to have caught up with events now - It's certainly more accurate than it has been reporting of late. Oh dear, that didn't last long! Zopa seems to have had a bit of a relapse today. Whilst the total figures on my Summary & Statements pages still both more or less match now, my account balance is now less than it should be following the most recent repayments.

Oops, my mistake. I now see that the lower balance is due to a (very rare) pre-safeguard default. Sorry Zopa!
