New boaty loan has just gone live, annoyingly after I have just requested a withdrawal because nothing was happening!

New boaty loan has just gone live, annoyingly after I have just requested a withdrawal because nothing was happening! Max £500 investment - so you should have time to arrange to do a deposit to get it back - or contact them not to do your withdrawal - it normally arrives in my bank very shortly after the request, so you've probably missed that opportunity, but the new trust-based deposit system is nice and rapid.

There are some remarkably small bids going on this one - as low as £25 - did the minimum investment level get reduced while I wasn't looking?
Edit: And now I've just seen a £1 bid - somebody's obviously experimenting in some way.

Yep, the instant deposit is great and I've used it to buy a bit of this loan but I've had those funds sat there since the B**liner repaid hoping for something to come along, then the text came in an hour or so after giving up and moving them out. Maybe I should withdraw funds more often I withdrew to my 1-2-3 "rainy day" account but topped up from my First Direct account, so it's encouraged me to put a bit extra away!

Notifications of new loans live on SS, in speed order - posting on boards, SS SMS, SS email - clearly demonstrating that this is the place to be

I suspect some people may have just had the cashback and/or upfront interest from PBL005 languishing in their account and used it up.

Yes, but ......... my noodle has the retained information in it that £100 is the minimum investment, unless it's the final bit of the loan. So something's changed.

Look's like it's fully funded now - along with my £73.11 that was just sitting in my account.

And at the end I see somebody has put in two £500 bids - I was suspecting some people were abusing the system that way when I saw a lot of multiple bids, but without being able to see the whole history couldn't be sure. But that last pair pretty surely are. I sure hope SS are going to unwind any of those where the multiple bids add up to more than £500. Edit: Only 'cos I'd have done it myself if I thought I could get away with it

No good to me. Turn my back and it's all gone. I've been logging in to SS reguarly for a week in anticipation of this one.....I blame you lot for alerting the world! I have an email in my box timed at 9.24. I'm sure it wasn't here half an hour ago!! Maybe it is sent out on GMT and it came in at 10:24.

Well, if you're lucky and they unwind those who've abused the system, there might be a little comes back on the market in a while...............

Yes, I had noticed the same with the two previous boaty loans that had amount restrictions in place, but on those occasions the multiple bids, each equalling the maximum bid restriction were successful. savingstream - Rose's thorns are going to come out if you allow this to happen - pretty pointless stating there's a maximum if in fact there isn't........... Multiple bids equalling the restriction is to be desired, but anything over definitely isn't.

Obviously just to test that SS had the system working. I would have happily then SM'd it over to Old Grumpy. Had a message that I could not place the second bid as I had exceeded the 24 hour limit. Basically 'computer says no'. No idea how p**l got two in unless they are separate accounts.

Really glad to hear it doesn't look possible in the normal run of things to do it. Those two were at the very end, so some strange limit condition might have caused it, and my imagining of others doing it earlier might have been just wrong. I feel a bit more reassured by your experience - thank you.
