Erm, I could be barking up a completely unrelated tree here, but there is a familiar name (GC) in a Telegraph article today... I can only see as far as the third para as I'm not registered, but it can be found by searching "olive oil scam". Weird coincidence? Wow!! As the Directors of COL / Regal has previous dealings with Refresh, you have to think that the FCA was absolutely right to step in and demand a change of Administrator. Birds of a feather and all that......

Crikey - this whole saga is starting to make a plot from a John le Carré novel look as simplistic as a storyline from The Magic Roundabout!?
However, as a supporter of RR I cannot deny this looks like damning evidence against them (yet to be proven of course - but there's usually 'no smoke without fire'). Conversely, it would apparently further reinforce my unequivocal opinion that it was fundamentally the FCA who are primarily at fault for this shambles by their ill-timed, poorly executed and heavy-handed intervention.

no wonder that poor girl from RR had to take sick leave, having to keep telling people they were expecting 100% returns on the loans when it blatantly wasnt the case

It seems to me like we get a tiny bit of good news and our hopes are raised , then along comes another bit stink and we all bob back down again.
I really dont know what to expect now from tomorrows update but i am trying to keep my confidence high that it is some decent news. Good luck to us all.

I would suggest it would only be bad news if they were still the administrators, and is indeed good news that they are not.

Notification today from CH that Collateral Agent Ltd have submitted Accounts for a dormant company made up to 30 September 2017.

Could this be the company that the loan was paid too. Trying to make it look legit or cover their tracks as BDO's investigations are thorough. Just speculation but you never know.

More convincing (at least in timing) would be the fines already administered to GC for misconduct in his day to day job as an insolvency practitioner.

Despite this I still only hold BDO in slightly higher regard than RR. All finance types should be assumed  trying to mug you of your money. Some of them are genuine but most should not be trusted. |
