I have been trying to run a tax statement for this financial year to see what the current position is, albeit we are not at the end of the tax year yet.
It times out every time I try to run it.
Customer support have been kind enough to email me a copy which is good.
Have other investors had more luck than me in getting it to work for this tax year. Just wondering if it is anything to do with my connection or account.
Cheers.

I just tried to access the Tax Statement page and also (eventually) got the "servers busy" time-out message.
Tried again a few minutes later. This time I managed to get to the Tax Statement page but it timed-out again whilst running the report. The hamsters must be busy today!

Thanks SteveT It has not worked for me for weeks, it helps to know it is not just me. chris i have made customer support aware of this. Just in case the message does not get filtered through to you as we are approaching the end of the tax year. Thanks

I got a statement on Sunday (18th) so just tried again for you. The statement request page came up (bit slow) but after entering dates then pressing 'go' it eventually timed out.

There's a rewrite of the tax statement implementation in the works which should be released in days and weeks rather than weeks and months.

I have run this repeatedly this morning. It keeps failing but the latest one actually completed and produced a statement. Problem is, the data is wrong. The Loans in recovery section includes all defaults and recoveries since AC began and not just the tax year in question. This means my total eligible bad debt in the period is misstated by about £40k. Is this a known bug or am I going to have to go through and produce the data for myself on a loan by loan basis?

Took me 4 attempts before it worked. bg what were you checking the figures for defaults/recoveries against ? Well I know I haven't had £70k+ in defaults this tax year! If you click the download csv link (I can't replicate as it just fails every time but I think that's what it's called) you get a file with a breakdown of all the transactions making up this statement. I can therefore see the breakdown of the defaults and it includes everything going back to 2015 (when AC first declared a default). Much as I would love to claim the £59k plumber default again I don't think HMRC would be too happy if I keep claiming for this every year. Of course I can work it out and manually make the adjustments but it's way preferable to be able to take the numbers directly from the provided tax statement...that also decreases the chances of getting tied up in knots in future years. Incidentally the figures for interest look ok. They only include receipts from 6 Apr 17 to 5 Apr 18. I would have thought it would be a quick fix to apply the same filter to defaults and recoveries.

Thanks bg, I was just about to post that I'd found the csv contains the necessary details. In mine, each of the principal_defaulted and principal_recovered entries go back to November 2016. Doesn't seem correct.

The 2016/17 tax year was my first in AC. First statement I had from them showed no defaults/recoveries. Later on they changed it to show a small amount. Never occurred to me then to check the figures. My CSV figures now show (as bg found) defaults/recoveries for 2016/17 and 2017/18 and also show that AC's amended figures last year were also wrong, in that they only stated some of the defaults/recoveries. EDIT: AC's system appears to have a bug in it -if I use "Select tax year to view the interest credited / cashback, 2017/18" and click Go, I get figures that include 2016/17 - WRONG -if I use "Calculate interest credited / cashback between, 06/04/2017-05/04/2018" and click Go, I get figures only for 2017/18 - CORRECT One would expect "tax year 2017/18" and "between 06/04/17-05/04/18" (identical periods) to give identical figures, but they don't

Wish I'd seen your post earlier. It would have saved me much head scratching and my bp would be nearer normal.

cb25 - thanks for discovering that. I've circulated it internally and will make sure that a fix is in place next week that is tested and signed off by the relevant other areas of the business.
