The details provided in the Assetz tax statement are only provided as guidance to help complete the HMRC return. I checked the Assetz tax statement against my own figures, it was spot on, matched my excel totals exactly. As I have nothing to gain by offsetting "loans in recovery" this year, my tax return was in the post over a week ago. Sorted. My view is that it's much easier to use the P2P platform's figures, as anything else could certainly bring a ton of questions from HMRC (in the unlikely event they checked) - along the lines of "what makes you think your figures are more accurate than the platform's?". Agreed. The "Assetz" total for "interest earned" was correct, it exactly matched my personal records, this will not change. The information provided about "loans in recovery" is for guidance only, it is not legally binding, nor is it "financial advice", you need to understand and make your own decisions about how to use the information.
Most important thing for me is to get paperwork out of the way as soon as possible.

I have tried on and off over a number of weeks to get my 2017-18 tax statement produced and every time I do it I get the "Ooops! Unfortunately the servers must be extremely busy for you to see this timeout message." message.
Has anyone actually been able to get a tax statement produced from AC recently? I have to say I am getting a bit fed up of trying.

I'm in the same position as happy: tried on an off for weeks and nothing. Strange that some can get it and not others. Chris, can this please be fixed?

I ended up contacting AC CS on live chat, they know there is an issue for some investors and it is being looked at. They sent me my tax details via email within the hour.

Their response:
"our management board have advised that the Tax Statement is in the final stages of review.
Unfortunately, we do not have a target date for completion."

Tax Statement still not working for me. Waiting to do my tax return! I've downloaded my Tax Statement previously, but thought I'd try it to see what happens. Got "Ooops! Unfortunately the servers must be extremely busy for you to see this timeout message". Seems to fit with what I remember from a few months back when I successfully downloaded it - need to try several times. Did work in the end, at least for me.

If I select IFISA when logged in then go to tax statements for 2017-18 it produces a report showing a small figure, £66.14 next to the comment, "This is the amount of money that you may have to declare and pay tax on in your HMRC Tax Return" is this true, I'm hoping not, at first I wondered if this was recovered capital that I had to pay tax on but it's not in that row, that's below and like all others it's a zero. I've checked this thread and others for a mention of a bug like this, nothing AFAICS.
So i'm looking at a tax statement whilst on my IFISA a/c, to summarise, and getting a figure when I would expect zero.
I've just submitted my tax return.

I've just submitted my tax return. I think they don't distinguish between ISA and Standard when they generate the statement. The interest earned in an ISA account is not taxable and doesn't have to be declared on your tax return, as far as I know - this is not advice - I am not an expert. At least I have never declared it and I am not in prison (yet).

At least I have never declared it and I am not in prison (yet). I'd go along with that if both accounts produced the same results. IFISA comes up with £66.14 whereas standard comes up with ~£3.3k interest
I've had the ISA for about a year or so, it doesn't make sense to me.
