Hi
We have now fixed our omission of being able to list individual units on a fixed rate basis... sorry about that, but all sorted.
Il Moro, we are also putting up a new section in the FAQ database to explain the SM operations etc. Give us a couple of days and it will be populated with all the info. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi All
We have a confession to make... we love the functionality of the SM on Ablrate, but when being used in anger the process flow is pretty terrible. So firstly, sorry about that, secondly we are re-designing the process flows right now and will have those out and implemented shortly. It won't affect any purchases or any listing, it is just process flows, information output etc. So it will be done.
But if you have any feedback right now or functionality you would like it would be a good time to speak up.
Regards Ablrate

The My Investments screen has its excitements in case you can't read it (it's displaying very badly on my compose screen) it says I have £100,000 in the airplane lease!

Hi shimself Unfortunately that is showing the total of that loan. This has seeped its way into a few pages where it could be confusing. We are in the process of changing that. If you find any others (outside of the SM, that is just about to change), let us know. Regards Ablrate

Hi All
Just a quick update as we have been a bit quiet.
We have been working on the Instant Returns feature. This is now on the development server and is being tested as we speak. This feature, on loans that qualify, will give you returns starting one day from the time you made your bid until the draw down of the loan. This will be paid by us and interest from draw down paid by the borrower. It will be a seamless event for you, the lender, as you will automatically receive interest at the prevailing rate of the loan. So basically, if the rate is 12% per annum, and you bid on day one of the loan and the loan takes 30 days to draw down, you will get 1% added to your account on draw down. This will be pro-rata to the day you bid and the days remaining until draw down.
We have a few others uses for this too, which we will reveal soon.
Also, we are not particularly happy with the output in current investments and on the Secondary Market. We think the functionality is good, but the monitoring and outputs could be better. It won't affect any buying or selling but on the next update you will see much more information and easier, more efficient processes to gain information and make bids. The idea is we want to make it very easy for you to manage your loans.
The current loan is almost done and we have others that are on the way. You will see the pipeline loan book increase significantly in the next few weeks.
Regards Ablrate

Hi All
You will be happy to hear that the 'Instant Returns' feature is now live on the site and the next loan (which should be posted later today) will be utilising this feature. Having got feedback from on here and other customers, you and they were positive on being able to be rewarded for early bidding on loans.
The way it works is that you will receive an interest payment from the day you bid at the prevailing interest rate. So if the loan draws down in one month, and you you have bid on day one, you will get 1% in your account on draw down. If you bid half way through the month you will get 0.5% etc. We feel this will encourage early bids and is a fair way of rewarding early bidders and giving us an incentive to make sure draw down happens as quickly as possible at the end of a loan.
I can also let you know that we have revamped the Secondary Market information output, have done the same with the 'Active Bids' and 'My Investments' section. We are deploying that onto the development server and will be able to give you a date as to when that will be available on the live site. We have been given a preliminary time frame of 10 days but are targeting delivery sooner.
Regards Ablrate

Exports to Excel
One thing which is consistently asked for from all p2p sites and is currently missing from your site is the ability to export data to excel spreadsheets. Not urgent as only a few loans at the moment but worth adding to "to do list". •Export of statement •Export of loans user is invested in. Also, couple of small typos 1) the full account statement screen is headed "statment" - missing e 2) if you hover over an out bid in sm transaction the tool tip text refers to "monay"

Hi unmadem Exporting to Excel.. No worries, that should be easy enough. Will get those changed... these kind of typos should eliminated from that section when the new UI for the SM and Accounts is uploaded. But if you spot any, let us know. Regards Ablrate

Regards Ablrate just a reminder, still the same Hi shimself It will all be changing as soon as the as we upload the new UI for those areas. The developers are working through the various changes we have requested. Testing looks good: here is sneek peek: This will detail your investments in a better view, and will have your SM units listed, along with 'history' of units that have been bought and sold etc. Regards Ablrate
