If you plan to "test the water", I can tell you that the water is pretty stagnant! I have had money queuing for nearly a month already. I wonder if Mathew, who sometimes contributes to these discussions, can offer any inside info? Hi nutfield and others We received a much larger than usual flow of investor funds throughout December, at the same time as the general slowdown in loan approvals leading up to Christmas, which resulted in much longer queues to get new money invested. I'd like to apologise for the delays experienced by a number of you recently - this is unusual and I think there is work to do our end to improve estimates and provide matching times much earlier in the process. The good news is that January will be significantly better as this is traditionally one of the biggest lending months of the year. Hopefully those who are prepared to hang in there will see their money disbursed in the next week or so. Thank you for your response. I hope it will get back to normal soon. Will "estimated matching time" column reappear, or is it gone permanently?

I'm a month and a day in. No match and no indication of how long to go. If nothing matched by the end of Jan 2nd, am cancelling the investment and transferring money elsewhere. The 6.5% is an illusion to bring in new money, but the cash drag means it is much less in practice. Was matched on Jan 2nd! so 33 days

Ps octopus choice matched me in 1 minute. I realise that it's not exactly comparing eggs with eggs, but you would need a 22 month cash drag on LW 5 year account before the interest would fall as low as the target on OC!

Or maybe not. Rates remain the same.

It looks like it will get back to normal soon. Good to hear this. In today's e-mail:
"Queue timer In its previous iteration, the queue timer was not performing as we hoped, and the server load from increased customer volumes occasionally resulted in the page not loading. To avoid this, we've temporarily removed the timer whilst we iterate, build, and reimplement this functionality.
Protracted queue times In order to fulfil the projected annual rates on your investment, reinvested repayments are prioritised ahead of new money when matching loans. Due to seasonal fluctuation, queue times have predictably slightly increased. However, to counteract this downtick we have new partners lined up which will swing the tide in the other direction, dramatically decreasing potential queue times meaning your money will be lent out more quickly.
Timeframe on changes? Not long to wait - your reinvigorated timer and speedier queues are arriving this month."

Email? What email?! I have a tick next to the 'Email preferences' setting my Lendingworks account, but didn't receive this. Matthew , for privacy I have my email client set to not automatically load external images. Has this lead to my email address getting labelled as 'unengaged' and am I therefore missing out on updates?

Has this lead to my email address getting labelled as 'unengaged' and am I therefore missing out on updates? Hi toastHope you had a good weekend. As far as I'm aware, blocking the loading of external images shouldn't cause any issues in receiving our weekly emails. Please would you send your details to our Customer Experience team at cs@lendingworks.co.uk and they should be able to resolve this for you? Many thanks

yes - I am 13 days in now but initially had a 4 day estimated wait (currently 5 day estimate) I put my first trial investment of £10 in on 19th November followed by £1,000 on 22nd November. They were loaned out on 26th and 30th November respectively - so 7 and then 8 days to be matched. I then received my £50 bonus on 4th December and this is still waiting to be matched with a queue of 6 days and £765k ahead of me . So matching is definitely slowing down... The last £50 was finally matched today. Just over a month in the queue.

My new money deposited on the 5th Dec was matched yesterday, 10% was matched yesterday, another 10% is matched today on a different queue while the remaining 80% waiting in the long queue. The current queue for speedy match is 17k.

Something weird to do with transition away from MailChimp apparently. Thanks to df for mentioning the existence of these. I simply had no idea I was missing out...
