Got mine today. Obvs from Col mailing list. I have 7k+ in Col, maybe moving down the pipeline? Dear Lynda As an experienced Peer 2 Peer lender we wanted to bring your attention to Huddle Capital and some of our existing loans. Huddle is a reasonably new entrant to the P2P space but is fully supported by its experienced and FCA regulated parent company, Access Commercial Finance Ltd. Access and it's management team have been lending their own funds for many years and apply the same stringent underwriting procedures to loans on Huddle that they do to loans using their own funds. All deals that list on Huddle are also fully financially underwritten by Access too, meaning that should enough investors not join a loan, Access will top up the balance to ensure all loans always close. We currently have 3 different types of secured loan live on the platform at the moment and would love for you to check them out and have the chance to join our other lenders who achieve superior returns on their capital. Please log in to www.HuddleCapital.com to find out more! They even know my name

I thought this unusual communication from Huddle was an attempt to fill the existing pipeline before they have to use ACF Ltd. Sounded very sweet and innocent - 3 loans available for experienced p2p lenders

Yes, just received my email from Huddle with the heading "Increase your ROI" which is a bit presumptuous that they know what my current ROI is.....still, if they know I'm with Collateral then I guess they can be fairly confident of beating that 😜.... Same here - received an email from them this afternoon

Mailed me this morning. Can only assume that Col sold the mailing list to HC.

I haven't received anything from Huddle but I am definitely on the Collateral email list. It might be because my exposure to Col was pretty small <£1,500 so maybe the list was filtered for a certain size of investor that would look attractive to Huddle?

I've also received nothing from Huddle, but have much more in Col, so I don't think it's related to account size. I think the most likely scenario is that a dodgy identity verification service used by Col for new account registrations has sold the name/email list and Huddle unwittingly bought it from a third party. (Or the service provider was hacked with the same result.) And Col probably used different identity verification services over time, hence some Col users received the Huddle email and some not.

This thread is troubling. Clearly Coll seems to be the original source of some personal information, which is being used by Huddle to promote loans which it has refinanced from Coll. That does not mean that the information has gone directly from Coll to Huddle, nor that the original release from Coll had to have occurred after Coll went into administration. However, at the least it seems that Huddle have been incautious about their use for marketing purposes of personal information they have acquired, and have lacked an appreciation of the likely effect upon their reputation among those who they would recruit as lenders. Having no contact with Coll or Huddle, my interest is with Ablrate, who have openly 'white labelled' their platform technology across to Huddle, and who have a shareholding in Huddle. Huddle is not a subsidiary of Ablrate, which would allow controlled sharing of personal information, but the companies are connected. Ablrate has a good privacy policy, imo, and we here are not expecting messages from Huddle on email addresses which have been created just for Ablrate accounts. That would add another dimension. But then, ablrate can always email its lenders directly about opportunities on other platforms .

I have middling five figures locked up in The Collateral Quagmire, and have received nowt from Huddle. So far anyway. I'm feeling unloved and unwanted again.

Yeah, the S**t List! The smart list, give or take an asterisk? I think if I were invited to partake in a refinancing of a loan I already held, and was in some undefined limbo, then I would want to know about getting my existing stake back. Does my new principal cause a repayment to come straight back to me, or does the repayment join a pool for later distribution? If in both 'loans', I might have a conflict of interest with myself.
