But when capital is defaulted on unsecured loans, bye-bye! i can think of one or two p2p platforms dealing in SECURED loans where the recovery on defaults has been, shall we say, “less than impressive” ! just because it’s “secured” doesn’t mean it’s any more likely you’ll see it back. This is true too. Although one would hope having some asset security would stand for something................. Hope doesn't pay the rent though does it
