This is really a strange tale. It almost seems that LY has purposely been executing a go out of business strategy. They stopped issuing loans, which given their name is Lendy is absurd. I can’t imagine that there are no borrowers out there that meet their “rigorous lending criteria”. At the same time, knowing that investor sentiment is all important to their survival, they proceeded to double down on their efforts to treat investors with utter contempt and pretty much stuck 2 fingers up at worried investors at every given opportunity. Their communications got worse, the broken promises kept coming and their aloofness was very apparent. Brookes has no doubt secured his personal finances and has made a killing, but it seems he decided quite some time ago that he’d made his fortune and all this was too much like hard work. I think it’s right to suggest he should be replaced. If he’s not replaced things are only going one way. "CTRL +ALT + DEL"
Might be their srategy

Might be their srategy I see where you're going with this - lock the Windows 10 laptop, making it slightly cumbersome to unlock but more importantly unbearably irresistible to anyone prying to guess where that really big mountain/wild hinterland is instead. It's nearly always Chile though. No-one ever thinks of Chile. Liam could quite literally be banking on that being the case.

Over on Bondmason, they're confirming that they have no loans with Lendy (or FC for that matter). Prompted by the FCA announcement maybe?

FCA have "questions about the company’s business model, leadership and financial position"
Well there's a surprise.
Take note, in the list, is also Mr LB [ leadership] who is giving the FCA cause for concern. About time! Time for the shock horror moment, I called Lendy TWICE yesterday to obtain basic info from Lendy to pass it on to a colleague who is in a position to help them. Despite not even being able to put me through to Mr. LB, they [the call centre] also informed me that they have no one in a management position at the call centre that has a direct line to Mr. LB, or anyone that can contact him. 27 hours and counting, they have not returned a call that would have been beneficial to them!

How often are flights to Panama from Heathrow? Numerous one-stop options daily from only £310. Nothing direct.

Why doesn't your colleague simply email Liam? His email address is a matter of public record on the FCA's register listing for Lendy.

Sadly I feel the writing is on the wall and we have known this for a long time. It’s sad that no one at lendy will actually make an e mail statement to all of the investors with regards this very damaging article. All I can hope is the end result is more swift and efficient than the collateral situation.

On a more positive note, maybe an FCA enforcer is standing over them with a whip and they don't dare stop working on recovery to say anything to us.
