Just noticed from the home page Welendus is changing its name to "Funding Ourselves" Hopefully that is all that changes.

"Fund Ourselves" would be a very strange choice as a trading / brand name as it would not be recognised by search engines as such given it is a very common expression, e.g. "having failed to obtain a grant, we decided to fund ourselves"
Simply would not be recommended by any professional branding expert, and the mere existence of this thread discourages me from looking any further at this platform. (I only clicked on it to see if any action was needed from a forum admin perspective ... not yet seems to be the answer)

The point I was making yesterday was simply that having never looked at WeLendus, my first impression is that this FinTech company doesn't seem to understand the importance that branding and SEO need to be considered together. A brand weakened by its inappropriateness for SEO will hamper the future growth of the platform.
Very few p2p companies will survive long term, and those that do survive are IMO very unlikely to be those that are run on amatuerish lines (which the majority are) or those with weak branding. I appreciate branding and SEO consultants cost money, but "Branding for Dummies" and "SEO for Dummies" are only a few quid each.
I accept that branding isn't my specialism, but I've been around enough marketing guru's to know that a brand is far more than "just a name", and that companies are spending vast sums on SEO consultants.
(SEO = search engine optimisation)

But also important in marketing is fake news, like a fake new name which suggests a negative view of the platform; or a platform hack to plant such information.
