All non binding as was no to no deal it is the default and like WTO terms will be implemented unless somthing else is agreed (fat chance of that) EU (France in particular ) will say NON to any further extension.
Simply plan for worst possible outcome then things can only get better.. I do respect your views youtu.be/RpxV9xuqLeA

Yeh, what do the House of Commons library and a former WTO Secretariat official (for 20yrs) know about the WTO's workings, anyway?

Well that was an interesting read!
I am not going to get too bogged down with the politics of it all, though I feel that this short vid explains things pretty simply on what is going on and why...

If Boris Johnson becomes prime minister we will leave. BJ always ends in someone coming out ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . It’s all in your mind.Labour is Like being in labour. You suffer and scream for ages and all you get is something that will deplete your resources for the rest of your life . For the first few years all you do is clean up their 💩.

If Boris gets in, the NHS is in more trouble than we can imagine. It was him and Liam Fox that set up the ITF thinktank that came to the conclusion that US health firms should be involved/running certain NHS hospitals. This self-serving nut job will be privatising the system faster than it already is.

All political leaders, virtually all of them, support never-ending wars. They are psychopaths, they care not for the suffering of their countless victims. This is the system of control we live under. It is we who have our heads in the sand when we continue to pay heed to them, and thus give them credence to rule over us. While the hell of military and corporate oppression continues the world over, we waste our energy with meaningless and trivial endless debate.
That suits their purposes very well.

My My one does take life seriously 😐 . Meaningless, trivial debates keep us away from the drink and drugs (not for some here) . The main way any individual can make a difference is assassination and that is way out of order for modern pacifists. Life is too short and humans too fickle and selfish to change. Sorry the planet is doomed I had good time and did my bit in at least one war on side of the good. I feel sorry for those less fortunate there is not much I can do without impacting my comfortable life. As we only have one life not being religious (I leave that to my deity self) I see no personal benefit to my joining those in unfortunate circumstances so a few in even worse circumstances can for a brief period feel better. I will however put my estate to good use on my death. Avarice, aspiration , religious differences and overpopulation are the cause of the planet’s woes and nature will wipe us off the face of the earth and start again. I will not be here to witness it so albeit selfish I can live with it.

I feel your pain and the heart says of course we must cut spending on armed forces, but the brain has to overrule and say that humanity is far too deep into conflict to step back and become pacifists. My children are soldiers and I get quite a lot of inside info as to how funding is spent and wasted. All uniform is purchased in China and the oversight on new weaponry is disastrous, resulting in huge spend on ridiculous new inventions that are rejected by the infantry as useless. Many soldiers discard them and rely on the US or private deals. Despite this the UK forces training and ethos give them advantage overall the world's armies. They are let down by pp political dithering that results in untrained troops being placed in conflict positions. Up the spend on Armed Forces (where children who have missed out on education can be retrained and given the confidence they lacked at school). You will always hear of the downside , but the UK more often supports victims rather than causing them.

"Germany will block another delay to Brexit at the European Council unless the UK announces a second referendum or general election by October, the Bundestag's foreign affairs committee chair has warned", Telegraph article here (may need subscription to view)
So, sit tight MPs, we could get no-deal exit courtesy of our EU chums.

That's better!
To recap. The new Tory leader will have no popular mandate. Further, it was obvious that remain parties got far more votes than leave in the EU elections. This matters and ultimately makes it impossible for the new Prime Minister to engineer a no deal Brexit. An essentially unelected leader acting against the will of Parliament and the people? Not going to happen.
Yes, there was a referendum. But the government has failed for three years of trying to implement it. The moment is lost.
So, based on that, Sterling is seriously underpriced and I'm buying all I can.

Is this still the Brexit thread? 'Broad Church' (begins with B anyway). We could discuss the prospect of an EU Army resulting in a Camo-Leave Vote if you like? Some people think that Brexit was the reaction of voters disillusioned by dissembling politicians, I dunno, ask Kaya. Don't be so exclusive.

Interesting interviews with Jeremy Hunt over the last couple of days. He can clearly see the dead ends beckoning to the Tory party and that a new May Deal done quick as the only way out for Brexit. But then he got awarded Joke of the Week for his solution, to turn up in Brussels with members of the DUP, the ERG, the Labour Welsh Gvt and the Scots Nats and saying "Look, here's everyone who needs to agree the deal. So please offer us a Brexit deal which all these people will be happy to vote for and we'll be off!". He said it with a straight face. What a belter!
