Is it not a bit odd that he signs things that he has worn just so they can be sold on as authentic items by someone at a later date?

Given all the other things he did in his life you should be grateful that it was only a 'bit' odd!

More MJ stuff going on today (11th Dec)
How much of that stuff is out there? What do others think about using it as security? Personally i don't trust its value even if it is authenticated as real. But would welcome thoughts from others
thanks

What I'm starting to wonder about all this MJ stuff is whether it's all coming from the same person. If it is, then they are continually taking on more debt that they might not be able to repay. Or maybe they are just offloading it. Either way, the valuations might well get tested in a few months time.

If not, I suggest they should have. I realise that since each loan is backed by security, having multiple loans ought not be an issue. But if you'd think differently about lending to someone borrowing £12k against £18k worth of memorabilia than you would about lending to three people each borrowing £4k against £6k worth of memorabilia then I think that FS should disclose every case where a given lender already has a loan from FS. One of the guiding principles of P2P/B lending is the advisability of diversifying total lending across multiple borrowers, and the platform operator should facilitate that as much s possible.

Hope it's okay as I'm in one of the other MJ pawns as well.

Isn't this the second MJ default?
Edit: In answer to my own question, yes it is. On 22nd April we were informed that loan 22084674 has also defaulted. So that's 2 MJ valuations in the balance now.

If you are a lender on a loan that defaults, FS send you notification about it and then keep you informed as and when there is progress. If you are a lender on these loans and not getting notified, then you should probably let FS know.

Many thanks for your replies regarding notification of default. Very much appreciated. I have a very small amount placed on loan 1449422756 which is another Lot of MJ 'collectibles'.
Did I read correctly that both Lots of MJ stuff belonged to the same person? If so, I guess that both Lots will become default.
