The expression doesn’t offend me in the slightest but is such a harmless old fashioned expression allowed in this politically correct age??

It says here yer honour Mr Moderator Sir that it's often unfairly taken to be a slight on the Welsh nation, but that in fact it's derived from welch (orig obs but def not derived from Welsh ahem).

It's my very first post here and I'm going off-topic but it's Michael Jackson's music and IMHO if you like any of that at all then this is very much worth watching. I enjoyed watching that and then followed the links, to find that she financed her career with crowdfunding.
