So pardon my ignorance - what is the point in having a FCA register if they do not accept responsibility for it's accuracy. .... Ahh but of course to quote Mr Steward (head of enforcement) "If you're on the Register, it means we've checked you out and there are safeties in place if things go wrong." Experience and FOI's suggest otherwise ........ Will this new information be affecting our case against them after the court proceedings next year
Seriously dont need any more bad info from what has been the biggest gaff of my life to date

Whilst the Metro Bank ruling is interesting there is nothing new that changes our position.
The FCA know the facts. The Complaints Commissioner knows the facts. Many MPs know the facts. The Treasury Committee know the facts. The Treasury knows the facts.
Whilst the (previous) Complaints Commissioner stated that it would be unreasonable that investors would have to wait until after any Court proceedings he gave the FCA wriggle room that if they deemed that details coming out could predudice any proceedings they could continue the deferrments ........... the FCA accepted that wriggle room.
Politicians will not get involved whilst sub-judice can be invoked.
So we are currently unable to progress anything until after the trial and any appeals.

"If you're on the Register, it means we've checked you out and there are safeties in place if things go wrong." - Mark Steward is a proven liar then? As such, shouldn't he have been summarily dismissed from the FCA immediately the Collaterall fiasco became known? Or are the FCA FAR more concerned with protecting their own image at all costs and "protecting consumers" comes last? If anywhere............... Asking for a friend ..........

I've been studiously ignoring Collateral until now. The last communication I received was in June 2022. Have any funds been repaid yet? Any idea of when they might be?

No funds have been repaid yet, when the first payment will be made is in BDO's hands. BDO established that they could make interim payments and the method to be used (confirmed by the High Court) back on 17/05/22. The last (and only) communication that I had from BDO was on 20/10/22

I would like to give a really upbeat report just before Christmas and I am sorry that I can't.
BDO are obviously still working on getting interim payments out (other versions of this statement are available).
Investors who have given the FCA Witness Statements are still in the dark regarding if/when/where they will be called for the Trial.
The one positive that I can highlight is that the Trial date (so far) hasn't been changed.
Another big positive is that the lings and I are still determined to see this through to the end there has been no wavering. We have still kept busy looking at all things 'FCA' every day whilst we wait for the Trial.
Who knows what the New Year will bring, several possible scenario's suggest we may need 'all hands to the pump' again ....... so if you are a Col investor and are reading this please keep visiting this forum and also check your PM's. Due to sub judice it is not possible to discuss a lot of issues openly but as always if you have any questions just PM me and I will do my best to answer.
Heres to a successful resolution in 2023.

Same here, last one I had is in July asking about the account and loan details etc again, make sure you have all these confirmed with them as well..

"FCA Collateral Case – January Update"A twenty-seven-minute-hearing in criminal proceedings brought by the FCA against the former directors of Collateral (UK) Limited was held earlier today. Apologies for the lack of detail, but if you appreciate independent oversight of these proceedings please consider a donation to cover costs.
