I see some of the turbines have been pushed out to the end of August payback. Timing is not really AC's skill set
I can't let that go.
We can't win on full loan repayment. If we wait until we definitely know when we're going to get repaid (normally when the cash has turned up) we'll get pilloried. If we report what we are being told by a borrower with a number of caveats (i.e. the dates weren't guaranteed) to allow lenders fair warning that we are expecting full repayment then we also get pilloried.
Which would you rather?
I have been consistent in all my communications via this site and directly with AC. "Say what you are going to do and do what you said you were going to do". I think the message is clear. I have provided advice to Andrew and Chris on how to do this. If your borrowers are unable to help you with your communication then you have to manage them, not your communication with us. Hugs

To be fair to AC, their original communication made it perfectly clear that the timing of the refinance was yet to be confirmed. Perhaps you read more into the update than was actually there. Lender Update - Refinance
22nd Jun 2016 at 15:15
We have been advised by the borrower that they are in the process of completing a sale of their wind turbine portfolio that has been financed by AC. This will result in this loan being fully repaid.
We are advised that they are aiming to complete by 8 July 2016 latest although this date is not guaranteed as yet.
We continue to speak to their legal representative and will update lenders as soon as the repayment date is firmed up.

Steve, I'll not prattle on needless to say, AC lived up to my expectation by their actions and I planned accordingly, sometimes pushing against the river is just a waste of time

Just looking through the new loans and #307 caught my eye. I personally wouldn't want to invest into a telesales company that targets the markets as shown on page 2 of the credit report. Not advice for anybody else, just a comment so that everybody has the chance to look at what's being lent to.

Speaking as somebody who had a no fault motor accident and has spent the last 2 years receiving cold calls from people like this, I won't be going anywhere near this lot.

I would have put a modest sum in if it was just about paper security but not in this type of business. One or two cold calls a day thanks to a well publicised ISP security cock up so no way would I pay for some else to be afflicted. Shame as its the first loan over 10% in months Looks like #202 funds will be departing the paltform tomorrow (maybe)

I was concerned about that too. Though having read the credit report there's a claim that they only "cold call" people who have already expressed an interest. That was enough for me to dip my toe. And yes, ilmoro, the rate was part of the attraction.

Perhaps I'm too ethical to earn "big" money. So be it. I sleep well.
As for the claims on the CR, I claim I'm gods gift...... my other half disagrees (when we have time to spare after answering all the cold calls we have apparently agreed to answer).
In fact herself had a small vehicular bump last week. The car was taken away for repair yesterday. The calls about personal injury started today. On top of all the other PPI calls, delayed flights and (this is a recent addition) claims for food poisoning on an all-inclusive holiday.
I refuse to give the people on the other end of the phone a penny.

.... The calls about personal injury started today. ... I bought one of these www.truecall.co.uk/ a few years ago. Whilst I resent having to spend the money, on balance it was money well spent. (And it appeals to my love of gadgets )

I joined the Telephone Preference Service years ago and it is very effective, and free. You can also register as a company, but you have to renew your registration annually, and that is also very effective, and free.

Similar experience here, just over a year ago, we replaced our landline phones with the "BT 8500 Digital Telephone and Answering Machine with Advanced Call Blocker" and we have not had to answer a single nuisance call, prior to that we were getting 5-10 per week. Best £50 I have spent in a long time.

307 - appreciate others’ misgivings but I think this is the type of loan we should commend AC for bringing on. As an opportunity to obtain a decent yield on something not related to property & with no brexit-related risk this is a rare beast on P2P. The key will be how it will be monitored, not sure I’d trust any other platform except AC on a deal like this. Thumbs-up to davidricketts1 & the team for providing a brave & different type of dish, as part of the varied balanced diet. A bit like kelp with marmite, not to everyone’s tastes but most likely good for you. On the gastro theme, GBBA won’t be taking large helpings of it at the drawdown buffet, so maybe a chance for rumbling tummies to get more than a teaspoon’s worth?
