Both my doctors and my bank won't verify identity as a matter of policy (the bank, Nationwide, would, but only if I was applying for a loan from them) I've just emailed shoosmiths & offered to send them a scan of my driving licence & P60 & asked them if they could verify it on the DVLA website. Trouble is, I don't know any teachers, lecturers, councillors, ministers of religion or solicitors. My dentist is 40 miles away. The only accountant I know personally is my son who is 90 miles away. My husband can't sign it as he's no longer registered with the Engineering Council since he retired. I won't hold my breath, but will update when I get a reply. Could be interesting. Do you think they'd let me drive to Fareham & present myself in person ? We could always nip into West Quay on the way back for some retail therapy. post office verifiction is now ok.just had passport, driving license, council tax demand verified and posted recorded delivery just under £12.00.not sending full unredacted bank statement as they have enough details now for any AML check

I'm surprised Nationwide won't certify your printouts - they're slogan is "On Your Side" with some promise attached. Barclays did mine within a minute of walking in.

I emailed them yesterday morning but haven’t received a reply. Do you just reply to the document request or is there another email address?

The irony here is these so called “professionals” are the biggest money hungry crooks in society. Weren’t our RICS valuers also called “professionals”. What a (painful) joke. I have ranted on here before about "Professionals." Remarkable what you can (legally) get away with when wearing the "Professional" cloak. I'm sure savvy folk woke up to how it all works long ago and the "olden days" of immediate, blind respect for "Professionals" are long gone. I am VERY aware that there are some decent Professionals out there, it is however beyond a shame that most "Professional Bodies" are aloof and aren't serious about clearing up and cleaning their own house. Why uncouple The Gravy Train? RICS anybody?

RGNs and SRNs are usually accepted as "responsible".

Hi all,
I don't wish to alarm anyone but I've re-read the verification email and noticed something thus far not mentioned. In the email's section 1, it says that we should send a copy of EITHER of four documents (which I've chosen to send my driving license). However, in the 2nd section, it specifically doesn't use the word 'either'. From that I think we have to take it as read... that they want a copy of all 5 of the listed documents, so that will be:
Your Lendy Account registered Bank or Building Society account statement AND Mortgage or Credit Union statement AND Utility bill AND Local Authority council tax bill AND HMRC self-assessment letter or tax demand
Please take another look yourselves and let me know whether this was in fact a sloppy error in their letter/email and we can choose, or that we do in fact have to send copies of each and all of these section 2 items? Cheers in advance.

Maybe you received a different verification email to me, but mine stated: ...the only thing they asked for from "section 2" as you term it was a certified unredacted bank statement. There was no mention of a mortgage statement, utility bill, tax bill, or HMRC docs in the verification email I received last week!

The email I received stated in the second section that they wanted "A certified proof of address" i.e. A = singular item. They then gave a list of acceptable options.
It was very sloppy drafting but it is not a demand for all 5 as many investor will not have all 5 in any event e.g. some may not have a mortgage.
I have requested full disclosure of the information that they have received from Experian, in an effort to discovery who has been incompetent in confirming my details, but have not had any reply from the shoddy lot at RSM / Shoosmiths.
This wholly contrived situation is clearly a money generating scheme by the "professional" administrators to run up extra fees between themselves and Shoosmiths. .

Did you ask for this as a Subject Access Request (SAR) or just a polite informal ask?
Do you intend to cross reference this with a request to Experian to see what they sent to RSM/Shoosmiths?
I have to admit I'm still mulling over what to do next. I'm deeply reluctant to supply any further info to this shower without first finding out what the hell is going on.

I'd be happy for the cost of any investigation you demand to be subtracted from the monies you are expecting to be reuturned to you by the administrators.

I'll send them a copy of a water bill, being the safest option. I'm more than happy for them to know how much H20 I get through. Hopefully by you answering me about the singular 'A' (good spot), will have saved investors a few quid of charges, had I asked RSM to respond.
