So earlier I noticed that Access had 1.3M sitting @3% and 3 hours later its now at just over 407k. I wonder if there might be chance of a sweep up to 5% and above. I'll have a punt at 5.5% as I don't have much returned today to relend . It's possible people cashing out 3% access for stocks

Front of queue was 4.9% as i write this i've pushed imine back to 6% which is at worst 229k away from being lent out. Front of queue moved to 5.1% as I was writing. I'm tempted to have a go at 7% its shifting so fast on Access.

would i be right in thinking that the 1.6M or so wall that was waiting to be invested this morning could/would have be used to fund draw downs as well as lending etc. benaj mentions the drop in the markets this morning and suggests rates may be improving as a result - not sure where it is now though.

Sometimes the wall is "magic" performed by the magicians It's all magic to me most days! BT shares dropped another 10p today that us down a couple of grand mind you if one purchased them now then it would mean a good half year divi return next september. Perhpas I should withdraw from P2P and put my money in BT to prop up me pension . If I sold them now I'd not have to pay any CGT - every cloud has a silver lining ...

sadly i should have had a punt @7%, the 6% went out easily and there is only 38k sitting in front of the 7%.! Perhaps there is a run on RS as well as the stock market!

It's calming right down now, I bagged some at 5.9% but it's cooling quick. Was wondering if this could be put down to stock market alone or anyone knows how the patterns of RS rates work

Was wondering if this could be put down to stock market alone or anyone knows how the patterns of RS rates work according to set your rate there is 18k infront of me if i lend at 6.9%. I'm wondering though if there is an error in some RS code somewhere and RS will correct our excellent rates by selling them all out later tomorrow when they realise. Or is that too cynical of a thought!. There is only 70k in front of 8% the max I can set. Sadly as I say no funds left for today. edit:I wonder how many of the rates above 8% will be getting a surprise later in the day.

Got some lent out at 6.8%, not in any rush though - hopefully the drift higher continues

I settled for 6.2% in the end yesterday. No point in being greedy

Highest I got was 7.9% Max (6.9% access) Thats an excellent rate - but why are you getting it? I could be completely wrong but I think it is because so many investors are withdrawing funds. I have now completely withdrawn (average was 6.7% in 5yr). I have done well with ratesetter but just felt something wasn’t right lately. Hopefully i am completely wrong. Just evaluate what you are doing - pride before a fall etc ... GLA

Interesting - written the very same day I bought some BT shares (@120.40p). The dividend does indeed look great, something like 12% at that price, although it is widely believed that it will be reduced in 2021 by about a third.
There are quite a few FTSE100 companies with dividend yields over 8% at the moment, and a few over 10%. I'm in.
