Tim Spector from the Zoe study said a few days ago that if you have a cold you've around 50% chance its Covid. Since then rates are even higher.
It makes me wonder if all this testing counter productive as it provides reasons for critical workers to be off sick. Its also expensive of course.

Lateral Flow Test kit.... ordered online yesterday, posted through my letterbox today. I feel like I've won the lottery! 😁 I am very grateful for local council and their volunteers. I was strolling in the park yesterday, there was a mobile testing site, fully staffed but no queues. Also picked up a box of 20 just before christmas, handed out by the council volunteers. 😁 You were lucky... they're now as rare as rocking horse poo. Gov.UK website response for some while has been, "Sorry,no delivery slots available". Not sure if they're trying to deflect the blame onto the postal service...

Lateral Flow Test kit.... ordered online yesterday, posted through my letterbox today. I feel like I've won the lottery! 😁 I am very grateful for local council and their volunteers. They're not "evil" although I disagree with them. Why they picked on an nhs centre (there are plenty of private) and why they also picked on a children's pantomime to invade I can't understand. Going around scaring kids and ripping on health resources what a way to win hearts and minds. and it was a test centre, not a vaccination centre. If their beef is with vaccination then why were they delivering their messaging to a test centre and destroying tests. Presumably this means their argument is also that people should not be testing, and therefore we should have unfettered spread of C19. I imagine the reason they picked on a children's pantomine is because they felt right at home there.

regarding the panto part, I liked the quote from Ben Everitt regarding the panto "Mr Everitt said some of the children and their parents "threw ice cream at [the protesters] - and they left - it was a pretty rubbish protest".

Anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists have killed many thousands. I do agree with one of their placards, though, although probably not for the reasons they agree with it...

Are you suggesting they should be given life imprisonment? Should they all be tracked down, arrested and interned? I can't think of much more anti-liberal than that. Oddly, I'm finding myself agreeing with the placards I can see in that shot.
