Man arrested after Covid deniers storm Liverpool hospital and accuse NHS staff of ‘aiding genocide’ and just to show how f****d up the whole thing is, one of the men involved is the son of the man they were 'liberating' from the hospital, and this is after his mother had already died from Covid but which he believes doesn't exist. People such as this are idiots, and to some people they are 'useful idiots'. But they are still gullible, self aggrandising gullible idiots rather than the likes of e.g. Wakefield who was sufficiently educated and knowlegable to know exactly what he was doing. And an anti-vaxxer liberated himself from hospital, and look where it got him

I'm rather bemused by this undertone creeping in of some foreign power infiltrating our forum, as if our ridiculous thoughts and armchair musings are of any relevance or any consequence to the real world. Am I alone in thinking this is all drifting a little bit towards the paranoid end of the scale, like some kind of mass hysteria event? If you are referring to e.g. my post earlier above, then to be clear I was talking about the general generic outside world, particularly not entirely on social media etc. Not our tiny inconsequential corner of the universe which - as I was attempting to make clear - I can't imagine anyone being a***d to 'infitrate' or 'undermine'. And as noted, if someone had been so assigned, it would surely be considered as the real wooden spoon prize Hello Mr bracknellboy. I have always wanted to visit your great city in London. On first visit with colleagues in 2005 I remember wonderful concrete shopping structure playing music to delight shoppers. There was also RAF staff college which of course I am not interested in. Do you remember it? Maybe you could put me in touch with some former flying men from there?

Being the Royal Institute Xmas lectures, this is of course targeted at younger souls. However, if you weren't aware of it you might have someone you'd like to share it with. Its actually also quite fun to watch. Might also be educationally appropriate for those who are older but has somehow managed to remain unfamiliar with the subject matter. "Professor Jonathan Van-Tam dives into the microworld of viruses, revealing how these invisible invaders can infect our bodies and how a revolution in testing may transform medicine forever." www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0012tz5/royal-institution-christmas-lectures-2021-2-the-perfect-stormIts a 3 part series.

to be fair Bracknell lacks the wonder of Salisbury Cathedral with its infinity baptismal font. It no longer even has its prior sole claim to fame, namely being the home of the Met Office building. The near Soviet style building has been demolished, and replaced with ..... apartments (what else). Oddly, while it has long been the headquarters and distribution centre for Waitrose, they didn't actually have a retail outlet. Well not that odd: they did somewhere sometime apparently, but it was long ago closed down due to lack of interest from the locals. Still in the last few years it has now acquired its very own branch of Waitrose. So it must be going up in the world. Much (but not all) of the old town centre finally got demolished (apparently after about 20 years of trying to get the project to fly), and replaced by 'The Lexicon' centre. According to a plaque, the Queen even visited it in 2018. Though the rumours that she has forsaken the delights of Windsor and instead pops into Bracknell to pick up her favourite nick knacks at Fenwicks I believe to probably be 'false news'.

I knew a lady who had the booster and never even made it home and died about two weeks after in hospital, so vaccines are far from being the saviours of the world.

That's very sad to hear, of course, but I think vaccines are a bit like seat belts. Occasionally a seat belt wearer will die in a crash, but overall they save a huge number of lives and your individual odds of surviving are far higher if you use one.

You mean she was taken ill on the way home from having the booster? The booster will take several days before it provides any protection.

I assume the intended meaning was it was a possible reaction to the booster ? Otherwise I can't see what the implication was meant to be.

She walked out the vaccination centre and got run over by a bus? Because of course nobody has ever had a bad reaction to Pfizer or Moderna and the heart issues are all fake news. The vaccines IMO have generally been a force for good but we shouldn't be shut down for pointing out issues.

Did she die from or because of the vaccine? Was she young and in good health before the booster? A bit more detail would be useful.

She died as a result of a reaction to the booster, she was middle aged and in reasonable health.

Have I ever suggested that media references to heart issues following beng vaccinated are fake news? There are such problems, but they are absolutely minute compared to the consequences of contracting the virus, a fact that you appear to be completely oblivious to.
If you want to look for fake news there is plenty out there, and it is overwhelmingly biased towards non existent problems with taking the vaccine.

Oblivious because it is not a fact. The equation depends on the age and health of the person taking the vaccine. I would not take it if I was a healthy 14 year old particularly because folk like yourself don't recognise the enormous sacrifice we have asked of our young people largely for the purpose of helping folk like you. Edit: And here is some of the mounting, peer reviewed evidence you chose to ignore for selfish reasons: www.bmj.com/company/newsroom/pfizer-jab-side-effects-in-12-15-year-olds-at-high-risk-of-covid-19-complications-mild-to-moderate/
