Less than 3 weeks to go before the Beijing winter olympics, and China continues with its zero covid policy.
I possible reason being 'scientists have also found that the Chinese vaccines are not as effective as those vaccines developed elsewhere - but Chinese authorities are not prepared to admit that and import the more effective vaccines'

inmates at a prison in the US state of Arkansas are taking legal action, saying they were unknowingly prescribed the horse deworming drug Ivermectin to treat Covid-19.
Anti-vaccine activists and conspiracy theorists have been promoting the drug as an alternative to vaccination.

A folk singer from the Czech Republic has died after deliberately catching Covid, her son has told the BBC. Hana Horka, 57, was unvaccinated and had posted on social media that she was recovering after testing positive, but died two days later. Her son, Jan Rek, said she got infected on purpose when he and his father had the virus, so she could get a recovery pass to access certain venues.

Nearly 42% of people infected by Omicron have no symptoms compared to 40% of people with Detla. Thats not a very big difference at all...

This is such rubbish but some people believe it! I don't mind them protesting. I do mind them spreading misinformation, wasting scarce resources, and jeopardising the health of others.

There is someone on FB that I "follow", who pushes allsorts of garbage out. This was one of the stories he posted about a week or so ago. In some ways its amusing to watch. I occassionaly post comments that simply rip apart the nonsense that he posts, when I can be bothered. I'd be more bothered if he ever received more than 1 (or less) 'likes' of his posts. One day I will simply post that he is screaming into a void. But yes, at the general level this stuff is dangerous, wasteful of time and costing lives.
