Green Energy Investment Account is live

Sucker for punishment that I am, after successfully withdrawing all but £20 (in loan #93) from my GEIA, I've bunged another £80 back in mostly just to see what happened (but also to park the cash for the moment, given that liquidity now seems to exist).

The 20% per loan limit is still being violated - after the following sequence of transactions, it would appear I have a 60%/40% split between just 2 loans.

That seems to have resulted in sales of all of my remaining loan units.

The only remaining anomaly I'm aware of on my own GEIA is the apparent short-selling of a fraction of a penny of loan #127 (to summarise activity within my GEIA related to that loan specifically: total purchases: £16.04, total sales: £14.70, total principal repayments: £1.340901765, balance: £-0.000901765; also, total interest payments: £0.264428571)

According to the dashboard, my GEIA currently has a value of exactly £0.00, but according to the statements, it holds a tiny negative amount of loan #127. It could be useful to know which is wrong (and even better to arrange to have it corrected!).

Does anyone else have this apparent anomaly with loan #127?

(it seems to be a specific example of a more general problem, which also occurs in the MLIA, as all sales and purchases are always reported as an exact multiple of a penny, but capital repayments are reported as precise values to a small fraction of a penny, necessarily leading to an imbalance after selling out "all" of a loan).

is the only non-interest line for anything other than an exact round number of pence.

To balance things, it "should" have been balanced by a sale of a non-round number of pence - e.g. the final sale as 0.199098235 rather than 0.2.

Although I've not done an exhaustive search, I've never seen a sale or purchase transaction for anything other than a round number of pence. Intuitively, I would expect them to be common - e.g. after a capital repayment, a non-round purchase would usually be required to restore the target. Either the non-round sales and purchases are really happening "behind the scenes", but there's a display issue causing them to appear rounded to us, or there's an account balancing issue causing the odd fractions to "disappear" and/or get created out of thin air somehow.

All my GEIA loans have now been sold.

Good to see the account working as it should and now that liquidity has improved, I am more willing to the GEIA to 'park' funds while waiting for the manual account to pick up my targetted loan and wait for new loans to drawdown.

chris:  Thanks for making these changes.  They seem to have changed the GEIA performance radically for the better.

I also can say that the problem in my MLIA -- whereby I had a £103.21 holding of #90 and a £100 target but the surplus £3.21 wasn't for sale in the Aftermarket -- has been sorted.  The surplus was sold in three bits at 1526 on 4/Feb.
