I genuinely would like to know the answer to the new insistence that everyone should change their grammar to include those self-declaring as Non-Binary. How do you address that person? Is it THEY although a single person What do you call a partnership of two (or More) Non-Binary Persons? What is the collective noun for a group and how do you distinguish a single they I can see numerous problems.
Mass confusion booking anything.
Example booking rooms. Question “five of us would like rooms” They want 2 doubles and they want a single
You cannot use a collective noun for a single entity.
Suggestions (with Respect) For a human self declaring as Non-Binary. and the numerous offshoots.
I ocassionally use "We" but I am a God

Still no clearer on collective non binary nomenclature.
So we will have to have to stick to "Normal" as in the majority of the 7+ Billion and "Abnormal" as in every other human.
Condensed to male, female and Other. Here is a quick search to clarify the situation. link

I genuinely would like to know the answer to the new insistence that everyone should change their grammar to include those self-declaring as Non-Binary[…] I'll be following Prof. Jordan Peterson's lead. He told the BBC, "I've studied authoritarianism for a very long time - for 40 years - and they're started by people's attempts to control the ideological and linguistic territory. There's no way I'm going to use words made up by people who are doing that - not a chance." Having read his "12 Rules for Life", I have a great deal of respect for JP. [ Off topic: He's a great thinker and highly influential. His interview with feminist Cathy Newman is an entertaining 30mins. She tries her best to trip him up with her PC nonsense, but he totally destroys her, while remaining friendly, polite and eloquent throughout: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMcjxSThD54 ] Edit: actually it's not off topic, because, having watched the interview again, I'd forgotten they discuss this 'invented pronoun' paradigm.

I LOATHE Political Correctness, and I KNOW there's an army of us out there. Whatever happened to the simple use and application of Common Sense? PS / EDIT: WOW, I have just watched the Peterson / Newman "Interview". She's clearly a Rabid Feminist Rottweiler who consistently fails and refuses to listen (let alone comprehend) what he's saying, constantly putting (her) words in his mouth. The part where she's stumped for a retort is gold, this video should be required watching for all, it's very fair, reasoned & informed. IMHO of course! bernythedolt

I genuinely would like to know the answer to the new insistence that everyone should change their grammar to include those self-declaring as Non-Binary. How do you address that person? <snip> Interesting question. I understand that the subject matter of the word "binary" in this case is gender stereotyping (because one cannot self-identify out of their personal biological infrastructure which dictates capability to produce either large gametes or small gametes) and I consider rigid application of gender stereotyping to be as regressive and unhelpful as racist or ageist stereotyping. From that standpoint I would consider myself and everyone else as "non-binary" given that we surely all exhibit personality traits associated with both masculine and feminine stereotypes. The notion of "insistence" is a separate issue. The personal pronouns I (you) use to refer to myself (yourself) are my (your) business, because it's a free country. Insisting others change their language to accommodate one's personal preferences is a potential infringement of their freedom of speech and I don't consider that appropriate or that it should be policed. Metaphorically or literally. To quote from last Friday's Miller judgement ( download link here) s.259 "In this country we have never had a Cheka, a Gestapo or a Stasi. We have never lived in an Orwellian society". Just my humble opinion and one I realise does not answer your question.

Well. There is an agenda beening played out here. Not just this country but at least the western world. If you don't know what the agenda is just watch the BBC for a while to see what it is.

Myself when someone means "me"
and the new starter to all answers
"So".... when they mean " "

Things have certainly got a bit bizarre, with even Police guidelines ( PDF) saying perception rather than facts dictate their actions:
"For recording purposes, the perception of the victim, or any other person (see 1.2.4 Other person), is the defining factor in determining whether an incident is a hate incident, or in recognising the hostility element of a hate crime. The victim does not have to justify or provide evidence of their belief, and police officers or staff should not directly challenge this perception. Evidence of the hostility is not required for an incident or crime to be recorded as a hate crime or hate incident.
...
If the facts do not identify any recordable crime but the victim perceived it to be a hate crime, the circumstances should be recorded as a non-crime hate incident and not a hate crime."
---
Given the above it's no wonder we end up with 120,000 non-crime hate incidents reported ( Telegraph)
