Were they 2 personal reward accounts or was one either joint or ultimate reward. Hfx on twitter told me that I could only have 1 reward account and 1 joint reward account. ( the joint one cannot be easily cancelled according to other forums) edit: Not sure what will happen to your 2 accounts df , I've now found the item that details the restrictions on the accounts one is allowed to have. I have paraphrased a table below This link page 26 has the full details. Thanks for the link. No, they both sole. I seem to have two different "identities" with Halifax. One has sort code ending on 75 and another on 76. One of them recognises my old dormant BoS accounts, the other one doesn't. To access each of my reward accounts I have to log in separately. The same with Clydesdale/Yorkshire (Virgin current account) - two different "identities" (sort codes), so I was able to open 4 accounts. Oh that's rather odd - I would have followed you into the multiples as in the past we had 3 each getting £5 each one for years in old guise but this new one seemed to have locked that one off. If I hadn't found the t&c detailing only 1 account I might have taken a punt. The chances their systems don't defend against it is probably quite high but I didn't want to take a chance this time round in case they lock off the 1 account each as it is. Still thinking about having a joint one though ...

Looking at the RBS one, there seems no real point in going too quickly (unless you see the rewards bit as viable, or it being closed early) given the reward is not paid out till January next year. I am thinking early November would do the job reducing the number of times it would need filling and emptying. I am interpreting the £1500 paid in, as not needing to stay, or is that needed?

Hullo, hullo, a rather similar looking Lloyds bank £100 account switching promotion has popped up. No need to open a new Club Lloyds account to switch into if you have one already up and running, so a nice way to tidy up some unused other account elsewhere and benefit too. Terms here, do read carefully as ever to ensure eligibility. Summary: "To qualify for the £100 switching offer you must use the Current Account Switching Service to transfer and close your existing current account held elsewhere. You’ll need to transfer to one of the following accounts:
Club Lloyds Account (No fee or £3 monthly maintaining the account fee*) Club Lloyds Platinum Account (£21 + no fee or £3 monthly maintaining the account fee*) *The £3 maintaining the account fee is waived each month you pay in at least £1,500.
The offer is available to customers switching an account held elsewhere to an existing qualifying account. You can also upgrade any other existing Lloyds Bank account to one of the qualifying accounts and complete your switch at the end of the application.
You won't qualify for the offer if: You are switching to any other Lloyds Bank current account that isn’t named above. You've received cashback for switching to us since April 2018, we're sorry but you won't get it again. You start your switch after the 9th November 2020."

Alluded to in the MSE newsletter emailed yesterday: News was embargoed until today - I assume to avoid being in the MSE email this week due to the massive reach of Martin Lewis! Best to apply before the next MSE email arrives

The only reason for doing it earlier rather than later could be that they can withdraw the offer at any time. They probably won't, but I generally tend to grab FSCS offers as soon as they become available - on some occasions I've learned that good offers can disappear quite quickly.

Can't do the RBS one but did the Lloyds one yesterday (thanks for the heads up r00lish67 ) for both myself and Mrs Aju. (another £200 coming our way hopefully) Used our Halifax spares from last month for the transfer into Lloyds. I'm betting there will be a number of them coming soon - I know that was the view on MSE recently.

I decided to take a detour through Lloyds it being simpler as I already use them and it was a shorter end date, I was then going to ship that on to RBS (same group, but saw nothing to prohibit) but being told the cinema tickets are to be kept will have to rethink. Thanks for clarifying the £1500, it did not make much sense it would need to stay but equally odd given the monthly 'pass through' would have to be more than that over the duration. Thankfully Virgin seem happy to keep opening accounts in about 5 minutes.

Great offer, £100 for a couple of minutes work. I've never bothered about cinema tickets, every year I forwarded them to my friend who loves going to cinema

BoS/Lloyds/Halifax all part of Lloyds Banking Group. NatWest/Ulster/RBS all part of RBS. I think?

I really should put more effort into these things.

I'm still taking advantage from TSB - 4 current accounts and one reg saver. 1.5% is a very good rate at this time. Since they first offered interest on current accounts, they've been very competitive (I've never had to empty or close any of my TSB accounts). Have you ever taken advantage of Barclays Blue Rewards? MSE: TSB will no longer pay any interest on its Classic Plus current account from December.

The situation for savers is getting worse and worse.
