OK, so it was a total and utter irrelevance to the campaign - not a reason to leave, at all. That's what you took from my reply? <rolleyes>

That's what you took from my reply? <rolleyes> Well, the other option is that you did indeed introduce it as a reason to leave. But you already denied that. You may note that I didn't say it was a reason that applied to you, personally.

This is a good visualisation. Clever... pity it doesn't also show trading links though. That makes it look like UK and Russia do no trading with the rest! Russia is the EU's 5th largest trade partner in the world and the UK is its 3rd largest.

Russia is the EU's 5th largest trade partner in the world and the UK is its 3rd largest. It doesn't show trade at all. It shows memberships of supranational bodies. The only other thing it shows is (black outline) geographical location. The EU is the UK's largest trading partner... 50% of UK trade, as opposed to 12% of EU trade.

Anyway, Azerbaijan is ONLY just outside geographical Europe, and may even have a toehold in it, depending on how you draw the line. The usual definition is the Urals and the Greater Caucasus. But if you follow the line of the Greater Caucasus to the Caspian, you get a corner of AZ. You'll note that the island of Cyprus is definitely outside Europe - yet the Republic of Cyprus is an EU member... Borders, eh?

But I have no doubt that all the "free trade", "customs union", "full access", "limited access" labelling (and posting it in a thread entitled "Brexit") was crafted to raise concerns and/or spark debate about the UK's 'parlous' position in the world. That's the usual deal. The global equivalent graphic would be interesting.

Now explain how F1 had the European grand prix in Azerbaijan Same reason they had the San Marino GP in Italy, not San Marino?

No, it's a simple statement of which of those supranational bodies each country is a member of.

No, it's a simple statement of which of those supranational bodies each country is a member of. If you say so .
