I am mostly avoiding 'real' news... However I noticed the headline Invincibles win in Hundreds (I had watched it, so not really useful news to me). My first thought was is Vincible a word then, logically it had to be and indeed is. I suggest we adopt it as the Forum word of the week and slip it into as many posts as possible in context obviously. So, staying with your cricket theme...................if a batsman looked talented, scored a few runs now and then, but always got out at the crucial moment, could he be described as a bit James Vincible? Not the same Mr Vince that managed nil poi in the hundred match today?

Johnson blaming the EU for the NIP. Williamson mixing up Itoje and Rashford. The government deciding that they would drop binding agreements to the Paris climate change agreement from the post-Brexit UK Australia trade deal* a month before the UK hosts COP26. The idea that social care is "fixed".
And that's before lunchtime.
* This has been "revealed" by Sky News rather than announced by the government.

The news that Oxbotica, AppliedEV, and Ocado are working together to deliver my aubergines, avocados, and virgin olive oil without the need for a human driver.

My local Berkshire news website frequently amuses me with its standard of journalism. Today it had an article about Which? magazine reckoning that Avebury was the best village in the UK. The website helpfully positioned Avebury as "near Hungerford", when it's 17 miles away. But Hungerford is the nearest Berkshire town, so it was a desperate attempt for a local angle.

Elderly Italian-resident Argentinian doesn't speak English very well... Hold the front page! www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rKi6ctW46A&t=24s(6yrs ago, when he was only 79) He's fluent in Spanish and Italian, "comfortable" in French, German and Portuguese. Only five languages. Plus Latin, obvs. Tsk. Slacker.

World leaders flying half way around the planet in wide bodied aircraft to attend the COP 26 conference. The fact that they think that our efforts will make any difference.
