I saw a tweet from a US TV station about their hurricane weather forecasts with the tag line "giving you just fear, not facts".

Not necessarily amuses, more irks - Media comentators who say something is increasing exponentially (which is of course completely meaningless).
Question - If there are 1000 of something today and it is increasing exponentially, how many will there be in a weeks time?
Answer - somewhere between 1000 and infinity

I enjoyed the British female boxer training (potential gold medal winner), pretty woman, and an aside. "I bet no one tells her that her clothes are inappropriate"

At one time, Tripadvisor said the best restaurant in Lancaster was "Amanda's Big Baps" which is a van at the Crook of Lune Went to Lloret de Mar many yers ago, and wanted to check up on where to eat. According to Tripadvisor the third best place was Mac Donalds.
While in Lloret I decide to get the bus along the coast to the next town for a look around, which prompted a fit of schoolboy giggles. The normal illuminated sign at the front of the bus wasn't working, so on the dashboard immediately in front of the driver was a hand written sign saying Tossa.

Yes, I've spent a few very pleasant holidays in Tossa de Mar. The local delicacy was a meringue cake named Rocks de Tossa! It was always funny after a beer in the sun.

I am mostly avoiding 'real' news...
However I noticed the headline Invincibles win in Hundreds (I had watched it, so not really useful news to me). My first thought was is Vincible a word then, logically it had to be and indeed is. I suggest we adopt it as the Forum word of the week and slip it into as many posts as possible in context obviously.

So, staying with your cricket theme...................if a batsman looked talented, scored a few runs now and then, but always got out at the crucial moment, could he be described as a bit James Vincible?

The strangest one of these constructions is the way "flammable" and "inflammable" both mean it's liable to burst into flames.
