Why the flippin' wotnot do they insist on making statements public in such a PITA-to-read way? What's the difference between a clarification and a U-turn?
Also I see the DM are publihing pictures of Novax meeting with children the day after his 'positive' test.

www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/serbia/coronavirus"If you test positive for coronavirus while in Serbia, you will be required to self-isolate at an address of your choosing for at least 14 days, likely a hotel or private residence, at your own cost. You may be contacted by the authorities and be hospitalised if deemed medically necessary."

The cancellation of Djokovic's visa is quashed. It is good to see such things being decided in a court of law by a judge operating in a judiciary truly independent of politics, rather than on the whim of politicians currying favour in the court of public opinion. Novak Djokovic: Judge orders immediate release of tennis star
Whether the rules should have allowed for someone who is a known anti vax'er to enter the country on a medical exemption granted on the grounds of a recent infection is another matter. but the judge had stated that Djokovic had done all that was asked of him by the authorities [and I think also, specifically, that the process by which they went about the cancellation, which involved pressurising Novak on false premises and after 30 mins sleep to have it cancelled, was void].

Apparently not allowed to view the hearing from the offices of his solicitors as they have a strict "No Vaxx no Entry" policy

I see that Michael FabricateIt MP*, has stepped up to the media to defend his lord and master, and all who sail with him. He has defended the (alleged) BYOB party on May 20th 2020:
"Conservative MP Michael Fabricant has defended the Downing Street party on the basis that "people weren't mixing" with "outsiders" - but said if people were invited who hadn't been in the office "that would be very, very serious indeed".
Fabricant told BBC News: "The difference with funerals [and] marriage ceremonies...is that you're meeting outsiders.
"This isn't involving outsiders; it is a secure area" - meaning that it consisted of "the people that have been on top of each other in pokey offices in Downing Street," he said.
I suspect that particular attempt at justification/obfuscation is not going to go down well with many e.g. NHS staff that while they may have been working their butts off in close proximity to each other would not have thought it wise or within the restrictions to go into the hospital grounds for a BYOB knees up. Or the very many of us who had made the transition to 'Working from Home' and who wuold have loved nothing more than to have a bit of a social post work (or any) get together.
I see another MP (anon) has been reported as saying (my bolding):
Another is very critical of Martin Reynolds - the civil servant who reportedly sent the invites - saying: “To deliberately put something in writing to however many people is an amazing lapse of judgement.
“It’s beyond belief that somebody could write that. Beyond words that anybody could be so stupid.“
So its not the act itself, nor the thought behind it, but rather the ineptitude associated with putting it into writing for posterity that is the issue.
*Anyone else noticed that this particular specimen has a hair do which would appear to be mimicing his overseer. Albeit that he doesn't seem to have kept up by giving it the requisite a trim - that could get you shot in North Korea.

"Fellow MPs have frequently suggested that Fabricant's blond hair is a wig. Fabricant has stated he has undergone some "enhancement of the follicular area", but has denied sporting a wig."I mean, who the hell would PAY for that?
