Always good value when the Deputy PM sets the PM up for a fall.

"Nobody warned me that it was against the rules," the prime minister said, adding: "I would have remembered that."

Always good value when the Deputy PM sets the PM up for a fall. Not even as if he's the favourite to take over...

Every time I see a minister mention the phrase "ministerial code" I cringe inside. It's like the FCA authorization list circa 2018; an illusion of respectability based on fantasy, policed by nobody, that merely exists so we can pretend everything's OK until it definitely isn't. Our prime minister is an entitled con-artist with a documented track record of entitled con-artistry going back decades. Dominic Cummings genuinely despises the majority of people in this country and should never have held the office he did...now Boris has been well and truly hoisted by his own petard and there is poetic justice in that. It's not quite "amusement" I feel but it's pretty damn close.

Latest to pile in to BJ Piffle's partygate? That "latest" didn't last long, did it?

David Davis calling for Johnson to resign, during PMQ, because of his inability to take personal responsibility.
Whilst not demonstrating enough personal responsibility of his own to write a letter to Sir Graham Brady...

Laughing at the Muppets online saying "general election is automatically called if BJ loses vote of confidence or is forced to resign"
or the even dafter ones saying "Boris resigns so Starmer becomes PM"
these same people are also calling Boris "stupid", "thick", "incompetent" ( and as a Regular Tory voter I Agree)
but the comments show they have no understanding
and as to the comments about income tax being "at the highest rate ever" they clearly weren't around in the 70's or 80's they really don't have a clue

I think I heard him say so, or a read report saying that he'd said so? EDIT: ilmoro I can't get past the paywall but if you google "david davis not written to graham brady" one hit from two hours ago is a Telegraph article that includes "David Davis was walking to the House of Commons on Wednesday morning when he... He confirms that he has not written to Sir Graham Brady...".
