The general election is a hard deadline, May 2024. They definitely don't want BJ Piffle leading them into that... Holding off isn't the obvious answer, either. The longer they leave him in place, the longer the smell remains. Sunak? If the cost of living doesn't get under control, he'll take the blame as chancellor. Tugendwho? Anonymity is perhaps his biggest advantage. But there's easy meat for his opponents when it comes to the membership's vote... Inexperience (only been an MP since 2015, never a minister), a remoaner (albeit quickly recanted) in 2016 with European bigwiggery amongst his relations (his uncle was ennobled after being a Commissioner then VP of the European Commission, his wife is French, and his father-in-law is a senior OSCE negotiator on Ukraine). But he sounds intelligent and competent. Doesn't that count for anything? based on the current crop of 'them in power', apparently not.

Being PM currently is a poisoned chalice, I would think they would want Boris to take as much of the blame as possible for quite a while yet, before bringing in someone else who can distance themselves from it all.

Well, colour me surprised. Starmer actually sounded like a statesman.
Put the boot in pretty effectively too.

The only issue for the conservatives will be can he win the election, Boris could be found having sex with a camal and as long as he can win the election he will remain.
That is what it means to be a political winner in a democratic society chaps.

Blackford accuses the PM of misleading the House. The speaker demands he retracts it. He refuses to because then he'd be the one misleading the House. So he's kicked out.
Still, quite clever by Blackford.

Mother who sued the NHS for £7.3m claiming doctors' blunders left her daughter disabled now faces JAIL after social media posts emerged of the 21-year-old singing, dancing and acting in a stage show
You can't believe that people still make this mistake

The NHS has a budget of £120 Billion a year, it spends £2 Billion plus on compensation and gawd knows how much on legal fees. If all the dubious claims were stopped it could probably save at least £1 Billion a year that's 25,000 Nurses

I am really liking 'removed from the battlefield'
Somehow makes it sound a bit like getting a red card in football. I have been working on a few variations of my own.
Given a zero efficiency rating.
Molecularly repurposed.
