An energy firm has apologised after 74 customers hit by power cuts during Storm Arwen accidentally received compensation cheques for trillions of pounds.
Might have been more interesting if the cheques were for say a few hundred thousand. Then they might have been cashed....

I have no idea what drug it is but if it makes you skate as well as she does, we should all be taking it. Give her the MedalA spokesman for the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) said it will "take comprehensive measures in order to .............. preserve the honestly won Olympic gold medal".
And not forgetting The Rodchenkov Anti-Doping Act, which gives United States officials the power to prosecute individuals for doping schemes at international sports competitions involving American athletes, was signed into law in December 2020.
So the 15yo Russian skater who tested positive for illegal substances is allowed to carry on competing in the Olympics. How does that work?

The former chief executive of India's largest bourse made crucial decisions by consulting and sending confidential information to a yogi, regulators say. Chitra Ramkrishna sought advice from a spiritual guru in the Himalayas while head of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) says. She allegedly shared business plans, board meeting agendas and financial projections with the unnamed guru.
Ms Ramkrishna quit the bourse in 2016.
SEBI said documentation it had gathered during a probe "clearly showed" that the yogi was running the NSE, and Ms Ramkrishna was "merely a puppet in his hands" until the end of her time in the role.

Over the past 5 years we've seen enough male clowns in the conservative party to encircle the complete circus ring , she deserves her chance in the spotlight as much as them.

Other sportsperson : I'm not anti-vax, but my body's a temple and I'm willing to sit huge competitions out rather than be vaccinated.
