Students at a Scottish University being given 'trigger' warnings that Hemmingway's Old Man & the Sea contains graphic scenes of ... fishing.
Would be interested to poll the students & find out how many have seen Jaws ... which contains graphic scenes of fish

So apparently these aliens generally have the factory upgrade to lobster-like claws. Not sure if I'm keeping up with the complexity of the story, but since his particular alien tormentor managed to poke her finger up his nose and used her long fingernails to scratch his eyes, one feels she must only have the basic fitted fingers and fingernails option. I mean if you're gonna fly a complex spacecraft a zillion miles across the universe, it stands to reason that a lobster claw will do an infinitely better job of button pressing and computer management than mere fingers could ever achieve. Any self-respecting alien would opt for the claw every time. Now, apart from wiping the floor with the claw-men on her planet at snooker and darts, one wonders if she made the right decision in not taking the lobster claw upgrade? Given the scant opportunities for fingering human faces only arise once in a lifetime, and when the opportunity finally came around, she got strangled by the abductee for her troubles... the correct choice is clear. Did the "world's top alien abduction researcher" (  ), Budd Hopkins, miss all this during his debrief? |
