In the news, not amused me at all but for once I agree with the sentence. I wish I was confident that a similar sentence would be meeted out regaredless of who the victim is. The queen attended the Chelsea Flower Show, but transported around in a 'buggy' (forever more to be referred to as a Royal Buggy, I'm sure). Still the mode of transport not as interesting as the fact that the RHS has an unwanted interloper at the very top of the organisation:
The monarch was last seen using a buggy to get around in 2013, at an event in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, and before that during a visit to Australia in 2011.
The Queen has attended the Chelsea Flower Show more than 50 times before, with 39 gardens and 80 exhibits on display this year.
This includes a Platinum Jubilee floral tribute to her 70-year reign.
Showing her around was Keith Weed, president of The Royal Horticultural Society.

Lots of media attention to mark the 50th anniversary of spaghetti junction. The bit that caught my eye was the fact that it cost £10m to build, but £7m anually to maintain.

Another classic from an old episode of HIGNFY on Sky.
When being interviewed by the BBC Jeremy Corbyn said how much he admired 'Prince Harry and his brother'. Unfortunately he was betrayed by the BBC's subtitle system which translated it as 'Prince Harry and Hezbollah'.

That's inflation for you. RPI index Apr 1972 = 84.4. RPI index Apr 2022: 1320. So in real terms, the current annual maintenance budget is ROM 4.5% of the original build cost. An object lesson in the power of inflation.
