I've often wondered why they don't charge for sending emails. 1p a time and mass spamming would disappear overnight. Who? How?Maybe Fujitsu could come up with something?

Done nothing wrong then just hang up, ignore, wait for a police car or official letter or contact the police, well the real police.
UK doesn't have an extradition treaty with China, probability of that happening must be near zero. That irrational fear of consequences is obviously due to where she comes from.

I keep six honest serving men, They taught me all I knew; Their names are What and Why and When And How and Where and Who.
I send them over land and sea, I send them east and west; But after they have worked for me, I give them all a rest.
I let them rest from nine till five, For I am busy then, As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea, For they are hungry men.
But different folk have different views; I know a person small— She keeps ten million serving-men, Who get no rest at all!
She sends 'em abroad on her own affairs, From the second she opens her eyes— One million Hows, two million Wheres, And seven million Whys!
Mr Rudyard Kipling
I am not certain that Queen Victoria would have liked being called "a person small" but Rudyard got away with it!

Well, pretty sure we have done some irrational behaviours at some points in our lives, that includes my p2p mistakes.

Well, pretty sure we have done some irrational behaviours at some points in our lives, that includes my p2p mistakes. I thought long and hard before investing in P2P In all honesty ( in some cases at least ) the platform suffered as much from them being scammed as we did. And lets face it there have been a lot of abuses of bounce back loans etc. I do think some P2P platforms have been lax in due diligence, and in some cases seem to have loaned an awful lot to a web of related companies that when one failed the whole lot collapsed, and some have of course outright lied to us that they have control/possession of assets or a first charge on assets. I have to be honest and also say that I believe my losses would have been less had not covid struck I'm sure some would have stayed in business or made enough profit to repay loans. What does grind my gears is when I hear people saying "i had £250,000 in platform X, it was my entire pension fund" especially when that platform wasn't diversified , ie it was all in Houses, or car loans or it was Football index, indeed no-one should ever put everything in one investment. Yes I know at least 1 person who had £350,000 in Woodford, and has to significantly adjust his lifestyle.

Too much money coming in, not enough good borrowers, so rates came down and risk went up.

Not to mention of course that Ofcom is an independent regulator so the government of what ever stripe has little role in this.
