Well, no idea if they are really doing free survey or checking home security for someone else.

Getting Voicemails but no caller number to be able to block
02 tell me it's ringless voicemails, that companies ( Scammers ) can use to dump voicemails on lots of numbers, and that they can't block them

It's only human to want to do something to help people like this and make a difference but the reality is you live in country run by a uncaring and impotent government which is full of sh1t pretending there is nothing they can do to stop lowlife like this. Labour have a chance to change that over the next 8 years, I'm not holding my breath.
Even with a confirmed scam incident 5 days previous, the woman fell for another scam.

Wait a minute when I invested all my savings in crypto I was told my money was safe because every transaction is in a public record !
5 years for stealing 70 million. It's almost like financial crime is encouraged and they don't want any deterrents like commensurate jail sentences. Trump may pardon him before his time is up, he's been in jail nearly 3 years so far.

Some of these scams are getting surreal. It's good that the BBC is exposing them as it is bound to help other people who are either so stupid or have led a very sheltered or privileged life - unless they have health issues. The guy comes to the door to collect the money with a facemask on ! Have people never heard of phoning 999 ? If something is happening to you that you've never experienced in your life before wouldn't that create alarm signals ?

I was about to post the same thing - it was covered on MoneyBox on R4 earlier. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0025bc2

I feel sorry for old people who are conned, but this doesn't sound particularly sophisticated. but you only get half the story.
Name address and phone number are probably common knowledge, but what did they say to trick her into believing they had access to her accounts. Did she ask them to confirm account numbers and balances? How was she tricked into withdrawing £4000 in cash from the bank?

www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/saving/article-13546653/How-easy-lump-sum-cash-bank.htmlWhy £4000? The criminals know the victims wouldn’t be challenged at the bank when making withdrawal? I would have thought banks would have protected vulnerable customers withdrawing cash. Surely some AI would have picked up withdrawing £4000 for this customer doesn’t match the usual withdrawal pattern. Why the beeb refused to name the bank in this story ? It makes me wonder if this was an inside job, crimes committed by bank staffs knowing customer details and don’t bother to ask questions

Non-existent regulation and non-functioning government.
Children are being sullied, exploited and damaged by adults using methods that didn't exist 20 years ago. Can't even do a simple search on google without being exposed to porn.
Add your bank card to any child's account at your peril.

It’s true there’s no proper regulation at the moment and the industry is taking advantage of those willing to pay for “Free to play” games.
It’s either ads or somebody with deep pockets to pay the developers.
Anyway, it’s almost Christmas. The appropriate adults can do something nice for children with some gift cards. They don’t have to be for gaming, just something make them smile even for a short while. Totally worth it.
