I wrote earlier in the month, the following… So, for January, Saving Stream have announced in their last statement in December 2015, that these loans are 'coming soon'...
• Residential and Retail Development, Hull – Waiting on new valuation document. £5.225m loan. This will likely drawdown mid-January. • Lowestoft Marina – Delayed until early January [£252,000] • Eyemouth Boat Yard - Delayed until early January. [£280,000]
Just a hunch, perhaps Friday, 15th January 2016? That would be mid January...
We shall see!
It didn’t happen mid January, but Saving Stream updated their projection… Morning All, an update will hopefully go out this afternoon. The market is just waking up after the holidays, and the pipeline starting to look very healthy towards the end of Jan. So, this coming Friday, 29th January 2016, the last working day in January, will this be when the pipeline finally ‘wakes up’ for 2016? We shall see!! |

The pipeline's woken up already.
But it's currently just half listening to the radio and trying to ignore the cat until at least the bottom of that first cup of tea. Then it'll have a shower and get some breakfast - and, of course, another cuppa - before it gets down to actually doing some work in about, ooh, March. With a fresh cuppa, of course.

The last SS update said;
Great Bookham aiming to complete 28th Jan.
Durham aiming to complete by end Jan.
So, with no further updates forthcoming, are we still expecting these to happen today/tomorrow?
In expectation, I had moved a chunk of money into my current account. Luckily, I managed to get it all "in" yesterday afternoon - because I don't have a great deal of faith in these new loans completing.
Some more regular communication from SS would really help planning.

I wonder if that will put a black mark on their application for full authorisation from the FCA?

Not sure how often investors need to be updated on existing loans, especially those overdue for repayment. I think FK win the prize for keeping us informed at all stages.

Probably in the last hour of January business with no update or new loan launching. Pity. A new loan would have taken a bit of pressure off the whole system.....here's hoping for sooner rather than later in February - still agreeing that we want good loans rather than fast loans!!

Not rushing a bad loan through I approve of.
Not issuing any sort of update(s) is less easy to defend, especially when 'end of January' was supposed to be 'it'.

There seems to be no information provided in regards to what the money is to be used for. This is why I would like to see a summery from SS on the pipeline page; they did take on this feedback on another thread, so we should see some improvement in the future. It doesn’t look like it is for any improvement in the actual property as it seems to be in pretty good condition. Anyhow; I've dropped them a little e-mail to ask what the money is for.

The pipeline loan page is looking monotonously familiar. 1 loan at stage 2 and a load at stage 1.
Is anything going to draw down in February? I think a good dose of laxative is required
