This cannot be allowed to succeed and I for one want to see more help going to Ukraine. I also want to see the ban on targetting troop/equipment buildups in russia lifted. I want to see F16's patrolling Ukraine skies and I want to see the Kursch bridge go down. I want to see modern armourments going into Ukraine, not the cast-offs/ hand me downs, the stuff that was going to be de-commisioned anyway.
I want to see Putin humilated and de-throned !
Whether you would feel this way if you actually had to go to the front line and fight the Russians to achieve any of this is another matter all together.... Or even live in any major city in Ukraine or suffer directly in some other way because of the war. No, a pound to a penny this guy is shooting off what he believes is the "right" thing when its nothing to do with him and when he gets off his keyboard he can completely forget about it until he switches on the beeb.

They have no idea what it is probably like in Ukraine or any war zone for that matter and seem to think this is some kind of Football match. I do not have any idea either but I have the common sense to know it must be hell and that if I was in Ukraine I would want this war to end ASAP. I would post it here but it is not suitable about a poor Ukrainian woman committing suicide in the street because her husband and son had been dragged off in a Van and sent to the front line (where they will not be coming back unless they get the opportunity to surrender to the Russians before they are killed) - apparently she had already lost her other son.

Singularly the most bizarrely ironic post in this entire thread. Clearly you trawl the Internet looking for videos of things going badly for Ukraine. Yet never a mention in your posts of the disaster to Russia of their way of making war from massacres of civilians, murder of surrendering soldiers, filmed torture and their own mass casualty meat waves. In suggesting that other people cheer on one side as if it were a football match, are you not able to hols up a mirror? ?

You are just trolling here pro-ruski rhetoric to get through month with some rubbles in your pocket. I can only guess this isn't the only platform where you spread your scaremongering. I think by now every one knows with who we are dealing with and how russian propaganda works . Your one is pretty soft compering to what I read in other places. Stop pretending you care about Ukraine. You are doing your part for mr. putler and perhaps its not the front line but its a some-line within http://WWW. Ukraine is an independent country and there is no place for russian mir

The reality is what is going on in Ukraine is the horrific slow destruction of a country in which they are being forced/encouraged to continue fighting a war that have 0% chance of winning. The "official" figures for Ukrainian casualties are a pack of lies in my opinion.

Unbelievable, you have no idea !
Having served in my early life, I know full well the horrors of an armed conflict. I have seen things you can't even begin to imagine and I pray you never have to experience what I have ! Yes war is horrible and senseless BUT sometimes you have to stand up to tyrrany to protect and preserve all that you hold dear. I believe the vast majority of Ukrainians do not want to be under putins boot and understand this is an existential threat to their existance as a free and sovereign state so their struggle will continue.
Had it not been for Ukraines sterling resistance and determination in the first six months and the subsequent "gifts" from the West, Kyiv would have fallen and would by now be under full russian control with a russian puppet installed. They have experienced life under USSR before (Holodomor) so if you think the average Ukrainians life would be better under putin, we'll have to agree to disagree.

You would have had to serve in WW1 to have experienced anything like the poor Ukrainians who are currently being dragged off the streets and sent to the front line with minimal training.

In the accompanying photos, one of the body doubles, I do believe. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/putin-greets-freed-russian-prisoners-after-swap-deal-with-west/ar-BB1r3htr?The complex swap is a gift to Biden, showing the Russians have given up on Trump. Rrump claimed he was the only one who could get Putin to get that journalist released, pissed on his bonfire Leading from this and the arrival of F16s, the fact that in July first the first time Ukraine hit Russia itself with more drones than Russia could muster, I reckon Putin is considering calling it a day. One last ditch effort, and he'll call the meat won periphery a buffer zone and declare for a cease fire so they can rebuild.

Leading from this and the arrival of F16s, I think the F16s are going to be a bit of a damp squib/side show. Too few of them, too late, too spread out over time, pilots too inexperienced in them, (and possibly also ground facilities too vulnerable to attack) ... I hope I'm wrong but....

The West is inserting the final blocks into of the completion of the rearmament of Ukraine from a 1980s soviet equipped army to a modern NATO army, a difficult transition during an active conflict. The F16s are emblematic of the completion of the process as the last of the Migs are retired and Ukraine exits the Russian sphere. Russia has about 12 months of Scrapheap Challenge material left at the current burn rate and apart from the arsenals of North Korea and more golf carts from China, they are looking at the end of their ability to maintain such a long front line.

The big problem with aging MIGs in a conflict against the Russians has to be parts availability... There's been stories since the start of the war about them breaking Romanian, Slovak and Polish planes (and their own) for bits to keep others flying, which is neither sustainable nor optimal.

Hmm, most of the tanks have been pulled from the front lines as unsuitable ... a modern Nato army equipment hasn't been found to be entirely suitable for a modern war. Some wins, Bradleys, some losses, Abrams, so have to wait & see if F-16 is a hit or miss
