This is part of an article today of Izvestia - Russian "popular" press. I'm fairly sure this is utter bullshit but come on where can I find PROOF this is BS ? Izvestia is owned by Bank Rossiya... "the Kremlin's private bank"

This is part of an article today of Izvestia - Russian "popular" press. I'm fairly sure this is utter bullshit but come on where can I find PROOF this is BS ? iz.ru/1745929/semen-boikov/raskinuli-alians-v-svr-rasskazali-o-roli-chetyrekh-stran-nato-v-podgotovke-ataki-na-kurskuiu-oblast— It's a matter of time until all enemy units are destroyed. These are small terrorist and sabotage groups, they operate in groups of 10-12 people, they hide in forest plantations, in abandoned villages. In apartments, basements, and so on. They make sorties, it's not easy to detect them, because they may not even have transport, — military expert Viktor Litovkin tells Izvestia.
According to him, from a military point of view, the operation was initially completely hopeless. The Russian side had already blocked all escape routes for the participants in the operation.
"Those who remained in the Kursk region are suicides. At the same time, the West and Kyiv, among others, counted on the media noise that they needed to demonstrate their ability to harm Russia. And against this background, they tried to mobilize the population and their armed forces for confrontation," he added. This probably accounts for why the Russians went ballistic over the Italian journalists who went to Sudzha for dinner. Didn't look like the town was being held by small terrorist group of ten or 12. Nothing more embarrassing then invading a smaller neighbour and finding they have invaded you in return. There is no reason to expect to find the 'truth' in the state media of a country that has had to close down or block all other information sources from its citizens.

Being curious to see what the Russian press is saying equals expecting to find truth in the media of another country ? You're better than that CC but if I'm wrong I'm out of here....

Its interesting to know what the 'truth' is that is related to the Russian people by their media. Maybe the guy genuinely believes it. But you can believe that something is true while it is in reality false. You can know, but be wrong. Or you can set out to mislead. But the events in Kursk are verifyable and the evidence is against this reporter. Thats not to say that Ukraine can hold on to all or any of this land. Maybe they overplayed their hand . We don't know . Lawrence Freedman had a go at the known unknowns yesterday : open.substack.com/pub/samf/p/ukraines-invasion-of-kursk?r=jofqi&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email

But none of what has been said disproves, for example, that the remaining Ukr forces "are all suicides". We don't know what the Ukr losses are or will be in that saliant so how can we disprove it ?
We do know from geo-locate etc that Ukr has taken a chunk of land but the rest is speculation is it not?
As for reading Russian sources, I got a bit lost in some of the subsequent commentary but I do find it quite interesting what they are saying to their Russian readership. There's no belief that I will somehow find the truth there - that's not the point.

There's no belief that I will somehow find the truth there - that's not the point. We also know from geolocators the units involved, evidence of significant mechanised forces (lets assume the Ukr didnt just send 5 blokes in a Challenger for the Russians to blow up). It's easy to portray the advanced SFO stuff ... 5 blokes in a jeep ... as 'suicides' so fit your narrative to much of the imagery appearing. The Ukr haven't released stuff for security, the Russians for propaganda. Meanwhile, chatter is the Ukr might be readying for another go in the south ... lessons learned to be applied.

Well, even ChatGPT doesn’t know when this war will end? 🤣 Maybe there’s some unknown artificial power can be recruited for leading this military campaign.
May be the arrogant “there’s no way in hell” guy knows better.

How many random X posts can I link to before it is considered spam?
Can I post for example 5 X posts one after another? Can I post 1 per day on a single thread like this? How about 50 ?
Where is the line ?

I thought the west knows where the red line is, although it might be moved any time depending who is really in charge. m
It’s not great when things are too predictable when the ultimate goal is to end is bloody war early.

Where is the line ? In the War in Ukraine thread? Yes. About a Russian atrocity carried out against Ukrainian forces? Yep. On the tenth anniversary of that atrocity? Seems so. How is that random?
