Ian Lavender, aka Pike from Dads Army. "What's your name ?" "Don't tell him Pike !" The last surviving member of the main cast of Dad's army - stupid boy, don't panic and put that light out all gone.

Very good memories, Saturday and Sunday hauling lobster pots at the Hood entrance Portland 1/2 speed listening to Steve , very funny , 4 or 5 lobsters in the boat and then a quick shower off to the pub payed for with a few whelks and crabs to the waiting regulars. Such simple easy times , long gone and now regulated for ever into the past But bugger 69 my age ,feeling very mortal.

Congratulations to Vladimir Putin today, he finally murdered his man. Classic piece of reptile sub human dictatorship skill. Along with Adolph Hitler, who had to invade Poland because he was provoked, the name of Vladimir Putin has to be raised up as the world's coldest blooded killer.

Not a very good one, though, it's taken him long enough and enough attempts.

"Bring Me the Head, of Gonzalo Lira!" (You were supposed to ask our 'friends' the Ukrainians for his release - but instead your Administration garbled the message on purpose as you undoubtedly wanted him permanently removed. That's what happens to Americans who don't do as they're told)

Compared to Stalin ... he's a beginner.
