I know he's a boy (not a girl, which would be perceived much worse) but an older woman taking advantage of him at 17 seems a bit bad (I know he was probably thrilled, but...). How much older was she?

He was at Sandhurst with my eldest son and finally made it to 'active' combat two years behind him . Mostly in saracens full of gurkha bodyguard. A Special Troop,just for him . Dunno what the book said .Not read it . He's awfully thick . It's a bit like listening to a needy child,so forgive him,not his fault.

We don't know yet, but the Aussie papers are full of it: hereWriting in his book Spare, Harry described the encounter with the unnamed conquest as a “humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion”.

Before the book’s release Liz Hurley denied rumours she was the older woman who bedded Harry when he was just a teen.
When asked about the claims, Liz told The Times: “Not me. Not guilty. Ha!”
Hurley added: “No. Not me. Absolutely not.”

She was Charles's god daughter  I've been reading the Daily Mail and googling "prince of pegging" this afternoon...need to give royal gossip a rest now. Like Harry. Edit: so that would be 13 years older then, in answer to your previous comment Greenwood2 13 years a bit too old to be wholesome (not Tara Palmer Tomkinson, I think she loved them in a different maternal way). He would have only just have not been considered a child. A slightly older girl friend (+ 5 years maybe) would be OK. Will we ever know even though he seems to want to say everything?

Yes, they expected to be treated with dignity and respect, whereas our forces (including aid workers and reporters etc) were regarded as infidels to be lined up and decapitated.

AIUI the books & netflix deals are worth well over $100M. I made quite a sanctimonious post near the start of this thread about the crassness of washing one's dirty laundry in public....but I mean that is a lot of cash isn't it. Got me wondering how much would tip me over to spilling my beans. Probably a bit less than that

I listen with half one ear (and I'm deaf in the other) to the radio/tv news coverage, and this morning I glanced at the newspaper headlines (but didn't buy a paper), and it does seem that he's doing himself and his family no good - apart from the royalties helping to keep Meghan in the style to which assumes she is entitled.

Meghan was financially independent before meeting Harry, salary apparently amounting to an easy $450K+ pa and could do what she liked. What was Harry on/doing again? Pocket money and didn't even have control of his facial hair  And he's an adult. 100% responsible for what he says, writes about, does, and has been a loose cannon since way before they met. Arguably his only charm! Infantilizing him by suggesting his wife's accountable for his behaviour and opinions, or suggesting all she could be attracted to in him was cash just makes me confused/laugh/sad for him... |
