Well, the Bristol North candidate better comes up with a better explanation with the bet, it doesn’t look good if she’s in touch with a close source of the director of election campaign and place a inappropriate bet. If she did a lucky 15 with some other bets, it would be less suspicious. Treble the odds even with just one winner.

And now a staffer in campaign headquarters (and candidate). www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd11j1q3y13oThere's clearly a "We deserve this" mindset around the core, so entrenched even the police are dragged in. It's the same entitlement as partygate. ...married to the party director of campaign... ...who has now taken "leave of absence"... The director of campaigns. In the middle of the general election campaign.

It seems to me there’s been no many betting syndicates involved, making it easier for security team from the bookmaker to spot the punters. CCTV inside the shop, timestamp on the betting slip. How many people these days would place £100 over election dates?
Those syndicates make the bookmakers pays. Syndicates would tell many gamblers to place £10 bet “everywhere”

He was not wrong... It applies double to the current Conservative parliamentary party, it seems.

but we don’t know whether it’s the director’s bet or the wife placing the bet on husband behalf or without him knowing.

Not the bets but the downfall of one of the greatest political institutions of this country that has represented the wealthy and upper classes for centuries? Who are you going to compete with in future? You must be terribly depressed about it all.

It's utterly terrible and depressing that one of the main groups involved in running this country has dragged themselves and the country down to this level, yes. I can't get terribly excited about any particular party for its own sake. If sane people on whichever side of our politics felt a particular party had lost its way irretrievably, they could launch an alternative party - but, of course, our current voting system is firmly set against that. That, of course, applied just as firmly on the opposite side of the aisle a few years ago. But almost every attempt to launch a new political party (most recently ChangeUK, in the aftermath of Johnson's 2019 purge, of course) has been doomed to failure, simply because of the way our electoral system works. And, yes, that saddens me, too.

The current system (ignoring the very latest news) is like China in most parts of the country. There is de-facto only one party and the only way to make a difference is to join that party and vote for people (or even stand internally). That's what I did but with recent events, may actually make this place a marginal so I might have to leave said party!
