Just had the Communist manifesto delivered
on the back page
Robert Griffiths Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney
our 12 point programme for : Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney The NHS and Public Services Cymru Wales Public ownership people at work lower prices Decent housing for all Women Denocratic rights People's Unity Peace and Justice The Planet
So lets see More money for the NHS, Local councils, ( Elderly, youth and Leisure ) restore policies abolished because of EU rules, Replace Barnett formula with one based on need Nationalise Energy, water, mail, rail and banks Cut VAT PR Voting Invest in Carbon cutting technologies, Solar, Wind and tidal power
To achieve this tax the super rich, windfall taxes on Retail and energy profits, and Luxury housing developments.
LOL when did China allow PR voting Barnett formula was "temporary" but based on need is ok except the Welsh Government control the funding and for example has given Cardiff £1 billion to develop a metro system, yet BG council has been loaned £70 million to upgrade services here, yet our need is far greater. that £70 million over 50 years is £1.4 million a year or as near as makes no difference £50 a year per household

Last time Tommy-Two-Names-Yackety-Lenin was convicted of immigration offences, it was entering the US using somebody else's passport - since he couldn't get a visa after his prison sentence for assault. (His prison sentence for mortgage fraud came a month later. Surely he wasn't trying to escape that?) Somehow, I doubt the Canadians were keen to issue him one this time, especially since he was travelling for work purposes. You may think that a tad hypocritical from somebody so keen on border control and restricting migration...

Labour has suspended parliamentary candidate Kevin Craig after being told the Gambling Commission has launched an investigation into him.
Apparently the Labour candidate who is trying to overturn a large Conservative majority bet that he himself would lose the seat

Yet another decision by the press to decide to tell us what is important and what isn't. So what if an MP has a flutter. I would say its only a serious issue, if he or she stood to gain many thousands and/or took steps to conceal it. Insider information like date of election does not set a good example but if gambling commission rules haven't been broken then presumably they haven't been cheating like that. In other words lets distinguish between having a flutter and cheating.

No different to a footballer betting on scoring an own goal.

I saw it as a win win for him If he loses he gets an MP's salary for a few years, if he wins the profit possibly offsets the loss of wages

This is his own words on X
but I haven’t seen the actual betting slip yet, no evidence to support what would the actual gain could be.
This is the hypothetical scenario, would the party leader suspend the wife if she placed a silly and inappropriate bet I wonder and tell the world about?

Now the real question, would GC investigate voters like us to bet against the majority? 🤣
Let’s say I’m in a Reform UK stronghold constituent and place a bet against Reform UK, would GC and electoral commission cancel my vote and bet as well?

Not unless its Dunny-on-the-Wold and youve lived in the constituency since Wednesday morning.
