I think that's the first time I've ever seen everybody smiling at a polling station during a GE.

I still haven't decided other than I'm sure who it will not be.

I still haven't decided other than I'm sure who it will not be. Voted on the basis of only 3 bothered with leaflets only 2 had someone who spoke to me ( and one of those won't get my vote for "attitude" ) I know one candidate personally and I saw placards for him ( actually apart from 1 plaid Cymru which has been up since 2019 his are the only ones I've seen) He's a carer, and a fellow allotment holder. yes I know not the approved way, and yes it's probably a protest, and yes my labour candidate will probably get 2/3 of the votes. first time in a GE I've voted differently to my first vote in 1979. honestly in my position I can't ever see myself going back Small business owner whose business suffered badly during covid, and is still recovering, but didn't qualify for any help from UK or Welsh Government, I know I will be paying for others to be on furlough, and CBILS and BBILS for years in extra taxes. my Company pension has gone up 16% since 2020 inflation is over 25% the reality for me is I could afford to save nearly 10% of my pension in 2020 now I can't afford to save anything.

Wow - you must live in a marginal to expect so much canvassing for your vote. Shows what is wrong with fpptp. As usual nobody knocked on our door. I was thinking of Reform but the leaflet for the local candidate put me off. I actually like the sound of the Labour bloke but just as much as a tactical vote to punish the Tories as much as possible so will probably go for him....

I find it hilarious that the green canvasser was telling me how people with Solar panels etc should pay more council tax, the reason being they can afford it.
So the greens want to punish me for being green ...

Had I not voted by postal vote, I might have actually voted differently from the way I did. Since I sent it off a few days ago I've seen the final analysis (courtesy of Freedman) for this constituency and would have switched my tactical vote more tactically than it looks like I did. Anyway, the fptp system really sucks. Even if for once it may be a bit less inequitable than normal.

Although the favourite is now 1:7 ON according to betfair. As an aside, I've been occasionally watching the Council broadcasts that are now uploaded to youtube. I've been thoroughly impressed with both the new administration and the old guard. They appear to be working together well which IMO is both rare and quite important for a functioning administration. Suspect our Tories (excluding my ward) are a little to the left in their party and Labour a little to the Right relative to their party so meeting in the middle is not as hard as it could be.

I believe that when I filled in my postal vote the cut off date / time was based on delivery to the counting house, not time placed in the post box.

It is possible to 'drop them off' at a polling station. So latest time possible would be 9,59 this evening. Totally defeats the point of having one but very tempting to do......

Funnily enough keitha, that 'fill in your views and we tell you who to vote for' page linked to earlier told me my views were most congruent with.... Plaid Cymru. Followed by Volt and then Lib Dems.
