Glancing at eBay last night, I see that some vendors are offering mixed mint commemorative issues (still legal to use) for sale. A bagful with a face value of, say, £200 would be likely to sell for just over half that. Not that I would have much use for them, indeed I'm wondering whether I'll ever use the £30-worth or so of new 1st and 2nd class stamps I got from the swap out. I've probably only posted three items so far this year.Have any of those arrived at their recipient yet ?

Though one of my very few ebay purchasers contacted me to ask where his postcard (collector's item) was, I suggested that he wait a few more days, and then he received the envelope badly torn, with an apologetic note from Royal Mail. The card itself was protected inside a plastic envelope. And I got positive feedback: "Fantastic item, communication and service. Thank you." It's not unknown for a purchaser to give negative feedback because of a problem with the delivery agent.
