Has anyone had any info from KUF about the lack of new loans? I've not known it so dry on new loans for the last couple of years. I'm guessing they may have been concentrating on the infrastructure update but that was a couple of weeks back.

I'm guessing they may have been concentrating on the infrastructure update but that was a couple of weeks back. In a recent article it stated Kuf is undergoing a major revamp for 2024.New logo, platform upgrade, more details given on loans, new types of loans offered. The CEO has set a big target for an increase in loans offered. It is a bit odd though how dry loans have got since the 500 min requirement. A heap of new loans must come thru to fund the major changes and sales targets in place.

I was correct when I said a few months ago:-
"It takes less staff and hence lower costs to administer loans to a few large institutional investors investing £m than hundreds or thousands of retail investors investing a few quid. I would say the writing is on the wall eventually".
Within a week they had announced the £500 limit, hence cutting down administration costs. I wonder if I am also correct in thinking it is going 'Institutional Investors' only.

Loans have filled quick at the 500 mark

I noticed a loan appeared yesterday and I managed to invest a small amount. It's not even showing in the Select/IF-ISA today though.
With the recent ending of a bunch of loans I've got a fair bit of cash waiting now.
It seems strange that the need for loans has dried up. Surely this is just that the loan assessors are working on something else, 'the infrastructure changes' maybe?

Very likely a few loans will be available soon, sometimes the loan book is like the buses.....a load come at once after a long wait.

That loan is fully subscribed and has gone live already, hence not showing. There are two more loans available this evening, the largest one is spread over four tiers.

I may have just spoke too soon.

I'd suggest reading the valuation report on the tiered loan, or any other for that matter. There are some red flags and assumptions in there that could materially affect the valuation. I'd be happy to lend on the tier 1 loan at 15% LTV as part of a well diversified portfolio, but like so many of Kuflink's loans, the extra margin on the higher tiers doesn't match the risk for me.

I saw some read flags but wanted your expert opinion to confirm. The slow rate of investment in it shows others feel the same.

And my opinion is strictly hold onto it tight and treat it with respect - your money that is. A post-FundingSecure wisdom windfall !
