Step away from the daytime TV if you want competent, timely journalism... This has been doing the rounds for a week or more. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-69016539But, yes, he's always been Ghanaian. Well, when I say "always", remember that Ghana was a British colony until 1957... And therein, of course, is where it gets a little greyer, especially when taken together with potential spousal rights.

I thought he must have been seen by some officers when he gave notice for marriage right?. Yet no deportation, no other legal documents to tell him living in the UK?

Morally he should have no problem getting UK citizenship and shouldn't have to spend more than 10K to do so. That says to me there is something deeply wrong about immigration law and its implementation.

this :- www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0jjn75xpgwoit wasn't an error, it was deliberate, she did not declare she had liver disease and other medical issues. by not declaring she voids her insurance much as applying for car insurance and saying you have no claims and no points when the reality is you have caused 2 crashes in they last 3 years and have 9 points for speeding.

Being “held” as a medical “hostage” 🤔?
I didn’t like the sound of that.
Let’s hope her kids found a solution and private medical team in Antalya keeps her alive before medical repatriation. What if no one can foot the bill? she will be sent to another place not breathing air on planet Earth? Any deadline before cutting of “life support”?

"The family has started a crowdfunding campaign to raise up to £50,000 to bring her home. Mr Wood, 25, said the family was "not necessarily looking for sympathy""
Not sympathy, just money...

Is this the way of the world these days. Rather than declare significant medical issues to the insurance company, you go on the cheap and if the sticky brown stuff hits the fan you rely on gulible compassionate people to bail you out the sh*t via a crowdfunding page

www.gofundme.com/f/bring-lavelle-crutchley-homeWell, here’s another one. The support to bail out is not great. I start to wonder has any MSM reported deaths due to unsuccessful fundraising. 🤔 or is it the generosity of those medical team keep them alive indefinitely without the bill getting paid.

I'm confused, the original article says she is in hospital in Turkey. The gofundme page says she is in the Canary Islands.

😅 my bad, I have a tendency sending confusing texts. This one is another “victim” requires medical repatriation. No idea where the mom in Antalya fundraising page is.

This one annoys me because the BBC report says she went without insurance because she didn't think she could get cover and It was only a short break.

...she went without insurance because she didn't think she could get cover... You'd think that'd be a hint, wouldn't you?
