This does annoy me enough to reply to both. I think that my reaction is sadness that loads of people flock like starlings and appear to have no individual personality other than blah. or media quantifies them as such. It feeds journalists ,I guess

At the risk of showing my ignorance of such matters, with regard to LGBTQ, what does "Queer" refer to if not already comprehensively covered? well you are missing the rest of the alphabet soup for starters LGBTQIA+ Weirdly back in the 80's it showed you up as homophobic if you referred to someone as Queer, now its self designated, Ditto the N word was very racist now they use it with a different spelling but same pronunciation to mean friend or mate, I was gobsmacked recently when I heard someone say "hey N , what we doing tonight" especially when they were both white
