So, is it madness the gov allow Reaction Engines to go into bankruptcy? Is it Not worthy to be saved? If BAe and RR have decided to stop funding the company, and it can't raise money from anyone else, then it was probably not saving. These Reddits suggest that the technology was either not going to work or would have been too expensive if it did. If so, then no doubt someone (maybe RR) will buy it from the liquidators.

Yes RR has been strapped for cash (badly strapped for cash) thanks primarily to the Trent 1000 issues, but it now in a much better place than it was a couple of years ago so unlikely it would have pulled the plug if it felt this was still going somewhere. Lets face it, I seem ot have seen Reaction Engines in the news on and off for many many years. A bit like fusion reactors......
