I see the BBC and others have made their decision on this issue. On the one hand terrible that a few individuals controlling our media decide on matters such as this (yes I know its the MPs but they are heavily influenced by the media. Obviously). I'm glad that those individuals agree with me and thus have peppered the press with news in support of the bill. I support the bill too but would rather the press stuck to reporting news in an unbiased way. Why can NONE of them do that ? www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c154pwlv4epoAnother of those BBC issues of yours where you didn't read the article? In terms of persuading folk like yourself, the headline speaks volumes.

but would rather the press stuck to reporting news in an unbiased way. They are literally reporting the words of the MP who introduced the bill. The headline... "Assisted dying could stop harrowing deaths, says MP behind bill"The very first para... "The MP behind a bid to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales has argued it would help stop people experiencing "very harrowing" deaths, as she unveiled details of her proposals."There's two options here... 1. You're just dissembling deliberately in an attempt to prove a point. 2. You're utterly illiterate in how to comprehend basic reporting. While I suspect the first is reality, applying the second to a very large swathe of the population may explain how the world is in the mess it is.

Such as welcoming and inclusive site we have here where the mods like statements like that

If we have to put up with the term "Trump derangement syndrome" perhaps there's also space for "BBC derangement syndrome" too?

The BBC have been running articles from all perspectives, former AB of Cant, bishop of BBurn firmly opposed, Wes Streeting likely opposed, Sir Ed against, Dame Ester for, various campaign groups perspectives, individual stories. The press report news but have always run opinion.

Finally some sense returning to the world. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpqd1rzw9r4oAnd to those who want us all to think we can significantly change the climate juggernaut, what should we do in the meantime to countries that can't properly feed and clothe their populations? Should we donate lots of cash to green infrastructure projects while people are starving all around ?

Another of those BBC issues of yours where you didn't read the article? In terms of persuading folk like yourself, the headline speaks volumes.OK, so here is the headline: "Assisted dying could stop harrowing deaths, says BBC Editorial team". Only kidding. Of course it doesn't actually say that. Instead it says: "Assisted dying could stop harrowing deaths, says MP behind bill" Of course I could do a sentence by sentence analysis of the article. In fact mentally I started to do. And then I thought: what is the actual point of bothering with that. By the way, have you spotted and read any of the other articles on the topic that they've been running over the last few days ? You know, ones like where they first broke the news that Wes Streeting was going to vote against ? Or that Ed Davey was minded to vote against ? And as for this article, big chunks of it is about the substance of the bill, other bits are stories from people with terminal illnesses expressing views both ways; and other parts commentary from MPs who are voting against, and then also bits with quotes from the likes of Chief Exec of Care not Killing. Oh, and some comments from the sponsors of the bill and 3 words from Esther Rantzen. Damn, I fell into the trap of being goaded into analysing it. Again.

Courtesy of The Times: Keir Starmer: "I haven’t decided on assisted dying yet"
I mean I know the first few months of being back in power haven't gone exactly as he would have wanted, but still I think that is a bit excessive. Rayner putting him under unwarranted pressure ?

"Corrupt dictator pleads to save his country's source of wealth, in denial of actual science".Ilham Aliyev is not just the dictator... and him and his father, Heydar, have not just been the dictators for all bar three years of the 34 years since post-Soviet independence. The father was leader of the region within the USSR from 1967 to 1987, before falling out of favour with Gorbachev over Perestroika... There was a whole cult of personality over him - Heydarism. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heydar_Aliyev%27s_cult_of_personalitySo that's nearly 60 years (bar a brief hiccup around the fall of the Iron Curtain) in the hands of one family, with zero dissent tolerated. So, yeh. You may think that "sense"...

My question, how much does he pay for his insurance and solicitors to keep his license? Also, is Flintshire the only place with most drivers in Britain keeping their license with more than 12 points? Meanwhile, "Financially troubled Thurrock Council is considering legal claims against more than 20 other local authorities." including Flintshire council. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgj7d3zn5xwo
