Faulty Coders at work again. On the plus side the cashback is in on the 8+2 prime A++++ property loan I invested in the other night. But they've still got the cloudfront URLs all over the place.

This is really poor. I have moved back to FC in part because I think thought it had a low platform risk. In which case I don't mind the lower rate. However this is making me think again. They should be able to revert to last night's version (or a slightly earlier one) during working hours much quicker than this. If the problem is with images being served by cloudfront or some other external service, similarly they should be able to cut over to serving their own pictures relatively easily - they aren't running instagram or netflix! Well the site's now back to the mess that it was this morning before they tried to fix it. So "revert to last version" does work!

Where did you move from? I am looking to rehome the fundings I have with FC. Good luck! I moved out of AC because they don't have enough new loans. They have promised lots in a few months and if they arrive I will start to move money back. (They have been promising lots of new loans 'in a few months' for over a year!) And I moved out of TC because I am unhappy with the role played by the sponsor. They should be upgrading their software in the next week or so, which is good news - at the moment it is much worse than FC. It is probably worse that FC's technology was this morning! There is also some change in management happening, possibly tied into the change in software, but I am not sure about that.

I resent that .. I'm an amateur (coder), and I wouldn't give this lot houseroom, not to pick up the chad off the carpet. 8>. Fair point, apologies! Perhaps I should have used the words of Geoffrey Boycott and say "my grandmother could do a better job with a stick of celery and an orange". Or would that offend your grandmother? For those fed up with staring at broken FC pages, and with Boycott and Celery in mind, if you have never seen/heard it, can I recommend: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa_iG_W0gvk

Been off duty and my login has timed out. Most pages I try to see, I get sent to the login page. Loan Requests, it shows me the logged-out version - no Watchlist button or tickboxes. This is fine, format-wise.
Only thing is though, it's got the little hammers to show which loans I've bid on. Huh? It's not supposed to know who I am.

That is a well known security loophole (not that FC seem to want to fix it).

Filosophical Cwestion for the day: why does one Log In but Sign Out? Because signing in, then logging out, would be silly.

I wish I was quick enough with a screen-grab, but putting parts up for sale just now, I simultaneously had the two messages "your parts were put up for sale" and "there was a problem putting your parts up for sale"!

You must have missed the third message:
"There was a problem with the messaging system."

Fumbling Coders will be pleased to know they are not alone. MoneyThing web site is down and can't be fixed because their web developer is in a different time zone - ah well, better than being on another planet I suppose.
Makes you think/realise we're dealing with small businesses here!

Makes you think/realise we're dealing with small businesses here! I'm surprised how much some of the companies are prepared to outsource. I'd have thought that a web technology business would want to employ or partner people with enough understanding to keep the site working in some capacity.
